As a child of God & QUEEN of my community who look to me for integrity. You’re an innocent child & don’t deserve any of this.” Cardi B responded by apologizing to Nicki Minaj’s son, Papa Bear: “Dear Papa Perc, I’m sorry that your mommy hasn’t cut you a birthday cake for the past three days because she can’t take my success or happiness… One day when you grow up, I hope you understand that when a girl says NO, it means NO. Hopefully, someone who truly cares about her will help her, and she will come out and read you a book.” Both stars acknowledged the sensitivity of involving their children in their public feud. Oluwo of Iwo’s Ex Wife, Chanel Chin Breaks Silence, Clears Ooni Of Ife And Accuses Oluwo Of Neglect

Chanel Chin, former wife of the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has dismissed the monarch’s recent claims and clarified that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, had no role in her marriage. In a recent interview, Chin recounted her turbulent experience at the palace, saying she endured challenges that ultimately forced her to leave with her son. She alleged that they were expelled under pressure and denied access to most of their belongings. According to her, the Oluwo often justified his conduct by citing his royal status. “I’ll catch him red-handed. He will say, but I’m a king, I’m allowed. Nobody will say anything because I’m allowed to as a king. So what can I do? It’s just me and my baby. Then when I go and consult with older women in Yoruba culture, they will say, ‘Olori, just put it to God. You don’t leave your husband in Yoruba. You don’t leave your husband’s house.’” Chin explained that her foreign upbringing made it difficult for her to understand certain traditions. “My father is Jamaican. My mother is British. I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. I don’t know anything about juju until I came to Iwo,” she said. She further recalled being given only one hour to pack before leaving the palace. “For that five months, me and my baby were walking along in Lagos with our luggage. I had 60 minutes to pack four years of my life. He had police standing over me while I wasn’t allowed to take any of my clothes, all my wigs, my makeup, my hair. He said to leave it. It’s for the next Olori. This is our culture.” Reacting to the monarch’s accusations, Chin stressed that her introduction to Oba Akanbi was through a respected Lagos ruler, not the Ooni of Ife. She also accused the Oluwo of neglecting their son, Prince Oduduwa. “The Oluwo had been absent from his son’s life for over five years. He only resurfaced in August this year in Canada, refused to sign passport papers but dropped $500, the first support Oduduwa ever received from him since we left the palace,” she said. Chin called on the public to ignore false claims targeting the Ooni of Ife and urged traditional leaders to caution the Oluwo. She concluded, “This shall be my final statement on the matter.” Olori Chanel Chin, ex-wife of Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi reveals her story while staying with Oluwo in Iwo pic.twitter.com/B2ojtL344e — Tobi Adisa (@deeduke1) October 2, 2025

Adekunle Gold Drops Sixth Album Fuji Celebrating Lagos Sounds

Adekunle Gold has released Fuji, a 15-track album celebrating the sounds of Lagos. “Guys, all I ask is this: listen in order, no skips. Whether you know the songs or not, trust the sequence. It’s a journey, an experience you can only feel if you go from start to finish. Thank you,” Adekunle Gold said. Before the release, he shared four singles: “Obimo,” “Coco Money,” “Bobo” featuring Lojay and Shoday, and “Believe.” Now, the full album is out, and he wants fans to experience it exactly as he intended — from start to finish. Speaking to Apple Music, Adekunle Gold explained the title: “Fuji started as an acronym: Finding Uncharted Journeys Inside. But I’ve always included fuji sounds. Since my first album Gold, there’s been a fuji-inspired song on every project. Even when I sing R&B, the fuji essence is there. I wanted to share the sound I grew up on.” “Fuji is the sound of Lagos,” he said. “I grew up on it. My auntie played it constantly when I was a child. It’s everywhere — at parties, events, celebrations. It’s part of me.” On Fuji, he leans on Yoruba oral music traditions — apala, fuji, tungba — while telling stories. Tracks like “Big Fish” recount his journey, Many People reflects on success, and “My Love Is the Same” and “Believe” focus on family and love. “I love my culture, my traditions, and heritage. I will always uphold it. As Africans, we have a duty to showcase our culture. I will never stop doing that,” he added. Over a decade after Sade, Adekunle Gold continues exploring different sounds, but with Fuji, he highlights the music that has always defined him. “Headphones on, press play, and don’t skip. AG Baby’s journey deserves to be heard exactly as he imagined it,” he said. THIS IS THE DAY THE LORD HAS MADE🔥 FUJI OUT NOW.A new decade. A new sound. A new legacy. This is BIG FISH!
