Teni Pushes Past Security To Reach VIP Section At Political Event With Remi Tinubu, Akpabio, Umo Eno
A viral clip from a political event has shown Nigerian singer Teni pushing past security personnel to reach the VIP section while performing.
The entertainer, who appeared to be the guest performer at the gathering, had been thrilling the audience with her 2018 hit song “Case” when she suddenly began heading toward the restricted area reserved for top dignitaries.
Among those seated in the section were First Lady Remi Tinubu, Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Security operatives were seen attempting to stop the singer as she approached, briefly holding her back and trying to prevent her from entering the area. Teni, however, continued moving forward until she eventually made her way into the VIP section.
After gaining access, she kept performing and engaged directly with Akpabio and Eno, encouraging them to sing along to part of the song before switching to another of her tracks, “Uyo Meyo.”
During the performance, the First Lady was also seen speaking to Teni as the singer knelt before her, although the details of their conversation were not immediately known.
Governor Eno later reacted to the event in a Facebook post, expressing appreciation to the First Lady for attending and for the words of encouragement she delivered during the programme.
He also restated the federal government’s commitment to key infrastructure projects and said the women present at the gathering demonstrated support for President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Akpabio, and himself as the 2027 elections approach.
