Phyna Claims Iyabo Ojo Distanced Herself Over Her Association With VDM, Calls Him ‘Very Dirty Boy’

Reality TV star Phyna has claimed that Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has distanced herself from her due to her involvement with controversial influencer VeryDarkMan (VDM), whom she labeled a “very dirty boy.” Speaking during a recent livestream, Phyna explained that the change in their relationship began after she responded publicly to a statement by VDM. “The issues she was having… he was involved in them, so I tweeted to reply to VDM because he made a statement. But it was misunderstood. Since then, I feel mama doesn’t like me as much anymore. Before, she used to comment on my posts, she used to like them, but now she no longer likes or follows me. And I’m very sure it’s because of the dirty boy,” she said. Phyna added that the situation has affected her interactions with others online. “It’s what I have to face. I even went as far as confronting him—not to insult, but I attacked her V.E.L because of this same dirty boy. I’ve had my fair share. I’ve fought a lot, and people have stopped talking to me. I remember when I posted something about the dirty boy again, Angel Big Brother… she commented in a way that showed she was clearly not happy with me at all,” she continued. Her revelations have sparked reactions on social media, with fans discussing the reported fallout between Phyna and Iyabo Ojo and the influence of VDM on their strained relationship. Pastor Chris Okafor Warns Doris Ogala and VDM to Submit Evidence to Police or Face Criminal Charges

Pastor Chris Okafor’s legal team has directed a firm warning to Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, social media influencer VeryDarkMan (VDM), and several bloggers, urging them to submit proof of their allegations to the Nigerian Police or risk criminal prosecution. Speaking in Lagos, Ife Ajayi, Lead Partner at Sovereignty LP, described the accusations against Pastor Okafor as “false, malicious, and part of a coordinated campaign of cyberbullying, blackmail, and public incitement.” Ajayi explained that the claims, which resurfaced online in December 2025, were initially made by Ogala and later spread by bloggers, all while denying Pastor Okafor the opportunity to respond. The legal team said the controversy began in late 2024 following a business arrangement involving Ogala and a third party. Pastor Okafor reportedly withdrew after determining the deal could not yield the intended outcome. Ogala subsequently claimed he owed her ₦45 million, which Ajayi described as unfounded. “Whenever one allegation failed to gain attention, another emerged. It was a systematic attempt to see what would stick,” he stated. Ajayi also highlighted that Ogala had previously been arrested and charged for cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and issuing threats in connection with similar incidents, a case that was settled out of court. “During that process, she never alleged rape, sexual assault, or an affair. Those claims only surfaced after the settlement was allegedly breached,” he added. Following a resurgence of online attacks, new complaints were filed with the police, resulting in Ogala’s arrest and questioning. Ajayi accused VDM and other online platforms of misusing their influence, warning: “You cannot act as accuser, investigator, prosecutor, and judge simultaneously. Allegations of rape or murder must be reported to law enforcement.” He confirmed that formal criminal complaints have been lodged against those spreading the claims and reiterated that Doris Ogala, VDM, and other bloggers must present their evidence to the police.

FG Denies Abandoning Nigerian Scholarship Students In Morocco, Calls Viral Reports False

The Federal Government has denied claims that Nigerian scholarship students in Morocco have been abandoned, calling the reports misleading and “deliberately crafted to misinform the public.” The denial follows a viral video on social media showing Nigerian students under the Federal Government scholarship scheme in Morocco allegedly facing hardships, including homelessness and lack of medical support. The video featured activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, speaking with several students who claimed they had not received financial support for years despite being scholarship beneficiaries. In a statement signed by Boriowo Folasade, Director of Press and Public Relations at the Federal Ministry of Education, the Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, clarified: “No Nigerian student on a valid Federal Government scholarship has been abandoned. All beneficiaries duly enrolled under the Bilateral Education Scholarship (BES) Programme prior to 2024 have received payments up to the 2024 budget year, in line with the Federal Government’s obligations. Any temporary delays in outstanding payments are attributable to fiscal constraints and are currently being addressed through ongoing engagements between the Federal Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance.” The statement also warned against circulating false information: “No new bilateral scholarship awards were made in October 2025 or at any time thereafter. Documents being circulated to suggest otherwise are fake, unauthenticated, and constitute a calculated attempt to mislead the public and discredit government policy.” Dr Alausa explained that the discontinuation of government-funded bilateral scholarships abroad followed a policy review which found that Nigeria now has sufficient capacity within its universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education to run the affected programmes locally. “Consequently, only scholarships fully funded by foreign governments are now being supported, with all financial obligations borne entirely by the host countries,” the statement added. The Ministry reassured that the government remains committed to supporting students already enrolled under previous arrangements until they complete their programmes. It also offered an option for students who wish to return to Nigeria, saying: “Such students will be seamlessly reintegrated into appropriate tertiary institutions of their choice. The Federal Government will cover their return travel costs to ensure a smooth and orderly transition.” Dr Alausa emphasized that the current administration is focused on eliminating inefficiencies and abuses in the scholarship system, noting that past practices of sponsoring overseas training for courses already established in Nigeria placed unnecessary financial burdens on the nation.
