Uche Ogbodo Responds to Maureen Solomon’s Criticism of Her BBL Surgery

Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has hit back at Maureen Solomon following criticism over her Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery. In a candid video message, Uche defended her decision and addressed the backlash directly. “This is your girl Uche Wodo, a.k.a. The Goddess. I want to clarify a few things because many people have been tagging me about what Maureen Solomon said. There is nothing morally wrong with enhancing any part of your body you’re not comfortable with,” Uche stated. She highlighted that modern technology allows people to safely improve their appearance, whether through surgery, gym routines, or other non-surgical methods. “It’s a good thing that today you can enhance your body—your nose, teeth, tummy, or butt—to feel confident and comfortable in your own skin,” she added. Uche also defended her role as an influencer, saying she guides her followers to reputable clinics rather than unqualified practitioners. “If young people or anyone else has the means, they should be able to enhance themselves safely and regain their confidence,” she said. Recalling her struggles with body image after having three children, Uche said she was heavily body-shamed online. “I never saw anyone defend me back then, but now I’m being criticized for showing how I restored my body safely with a reputable hospital. That is hypocrisy,” she remarked. She accused Maureen of double standards, pointing to her own past controversies in Nollywood. “You were living your life and influencing youth in ways back then, and now you claim moral authority? That’s unfair,” Uche said. She concluded by emphasizing her mission to empower people. “I’m giving hope, showing options, and promoting safe practices. There’s nothing morally wrong with that,” Uche said, standing firm in her support of body positivity and safe cosmetic enhancements.

Uche Ogbodo’s Husband, Bobby Maris Faces Backlash After Telling Women To Do BBL To Keep Their Men

Actor Bobby Maris, who is married to Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo, has ignited widespread discussion online after encouraging women to go for cosmetic surgery, particularly Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBL), if they can afford it. In a video posted on Instagram, Bobby said body enhancement procedures can improve women’s confidence and even help maintain relationships. “If you know you can afford a BBL, tummy tuck, or liposuction, go and do it, especially after having kids. Because if you don’t, your husband might eventually leave you for a baddie. If you have money, fix your body oo. No fear. You only live once,” he said. His comment followed shortly after his wife, Uche Ogbodo, opened up about undergoing a Lipo 360 procedure. The statement has since drawn mixed reactions — while some applauded him for supporting his wife’s decision, others accused him of promoting unrealistic beauty standards and pressuring women into taking surgical risks.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Bobby Maris (@bobbymaris)
