Nigerian politician Ned Nwoko has publicly accused his wife Regina Daniels’ brother, Sammy Daniels, of repeatedly intruding into his home and causing chaos, releasing a video he says shows the alleged incidents. Nwoko claims Sammy harassed his children and domestic staff, often when he was not present. In a detailed statement, Nwoko outlined the extensive support he has provided to Regina’s family over the years. He said he sponsored Sammy through the final two years of his university education at the University of Ekpoma, bought him musical instruments, rented and furnished an apartment for him in Abuja, and purchased a house in Asaba for Regina’s use before their marriage. He also revealed that he regularly gave financial support to Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, and transferred ₦125 million to Regina in the past two years alone. Nwoko explained that Regina entered rehabilitation after he noticed troubling changes in her behavior, linked to substance dependence, including staying awake for long periods and irregular eating. Doctors overseeing her therapy had instructed that certain people, particularly those enabling her drug use, be restricted from visiting. Nwoko alleged that Sammy, his girlfriend NK, and others, including Regina’s friends Destiny and Sonia Uche Montana, repeatedly defied these rules. They allegedly forced their way into the house, brought Regina the substances she was being treated for, and interfered with her recovery. He further claimed that Sammy and his associates verbally intimidated police officers stationed at the residence to enforce access restrictions, creating a hostile and unsafe environment for both staff and security personnel. Nwoko recounted a specific incident when he woke up around 4 a.m. to find Regina in his room while under the influence. She told him Sammy’s girlfriend was present, despite being banned from the house. After instructing security to remove the woman, Sammy reportedly returned shouting and demanding a confrontation, forcing security to eject him from the compound. The politician added that whenever Regina wanted to leave the house without his supervision, she would become aggressive toward domestic staff and security personnel, shouting, threatening, and insisting on going out despite medical restrictions aimed at protecting her recovery. Nwoko stressed that he neither drinks nor smokes and described the behavior of Sammy and his associates as unacceptable and damaging. He said the video he released serves as evidence of the harassment and disruption his family endured, emphasizing that his priority is Regina’s safety and successful rehabilitation. Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has broken down in tears over the prolonged detention of her brother, Samuel “Sammy West” Daniels, who remains in police custody under what she described as unfair and inhumane circumstances. In an emotional Instagram video on Friday, the actress said she was mentally and emotionally exhausted, revealing that she would consider returning to her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, if that was the only way to secure her brother’s release. Regina had earlier accused Nwoko, who represents Delta North in the Senate, of being behind Sammy West’s arrest. The lawmaker has yet to publicly address the allegation, even as calls grow from her siblings and fans demanding the young man’s freedom. According to her brother, Sweezzy, who posted an update on Thursday, Sammy West was brought before a court and subsequently remanded in Suleja Prison, Niger State. Speaking through tears, Regina lamented, “I’ve tried everything, but nothing is working. I feel like I’m losing my mind. Every day I wake up to one bad news or another about my brother. One moment they say he’s being released, the next, it’s something else. I’m tired. I’ll go back if that’s what it takes.” In another post, she expressed anger toward the authorities and accused the police of bias. “Fighting for his baby sister because her in-laws used to beat her up — that’s his only crime. I respected the police, but shame on you all. The highest bidder always wins. Maybe I should return to Ned, do whatever he wants, get drugged and treated like a puppet — maybe then my brother will be free,” she wrote. Regina ended her message with a chilling statement: “By law, there’s no valid case against Sammy. Ned Nwoko is bigger than the system — that’s the reality.
