Seyi Tinubu Jr has been formally installed as the Okanlomo of Yorubaland, following a traditional ceremony held in Oyo Town. The title was conferred on Sunday, December 21, 2025, by the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I, at the Alaafin’s Palace, where dignitaries and cultural leaders gathered for the occasion. Speaking on the development, the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, described the installation as a recognition of Tinubu’s growing role in public life, particularly his connection with youths and his philanthropic efforts.
