Mao Ohuabunwa Named Factional Chairman of PDP Board of Trustees
Former Senator Mao Ohuabunwa has been named the factional Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT), following a reshuffle by a faction loyal to the party’s new Acting National Chairman, Alhaji Abdulrahman Mohammed. The announcement came in a communique released on Friday after the inaugural and emergency meeting of the newly reconstituted BoT held in Abuja. The communique also confirmed Isah Dansidi as the new Secretary, replacing Senator Ahmed Makarfi. According to the statement, the previous BoT leadership under Adolphus Wabara and Makarfi could no longer serve in their roles, as their public positions in the ongoing intra-party crisis had undermined the neutrality and moral authority expected of the Board of Trustees.
