Showmax Premier League Chat with Conor Bradley on Liverpool’s Difficult Run

Ahead of Liverpool’s crucial game against Brentford this weekend, Showmax Premier League caught up with marauding Reds right back Conor Bradley. This wasn’t just a standard chat – Bradley got candid with us about the team’s “emotional” slump after those tough defeats and what it takes for them to pull out of a difficult moment. Liverpool FC right-back Conor Bradley has opened up about the club’s recent difficult run, emphasising that the team’s only path forward is to “stick together and keep fighting.” The Reds suffered four consecutive defeats across all competitions before securing an emphatic 5-1 victory against Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night. Reflecting on the preceding Premier League loss to Manchester United, Bradley admitted the results were hard for everyone at the club. “We’re just trying to recover from it,” Bradley said. “It was a tough setback for Arne Slot and the whole team, but with the group we have, we’re determined to bounce back.” The young defender acknowledged the gravity of the four losses, stressing that the focus must now shift entirely to the upcoming away fixture against Brentford. “I think the focus has to be on beating Brentford. We need to perform on the pitch, that’s the only way.” “Losing four times in a row is never easy, especially for Liverpool – it’s emotional for everyone. But we just have to stick together and keep fighting.” Bradley offered insight into the team’s current struggle, attributing it to collective performance issues. “It’s hard to point fingers. It’s just been a tough period for us. We’re not creating enough chances and we’ve been conceding too many goals,” he explained. “It’s been a difficult spell, but I’m confident we’ll find our rhythm again soon.” Having overcome his own injury setbacks during the pre-season, Bradley spoke about the challenge of finding consistent form. “It’s never easy. When you’re ready to go and then get hit by an injury, it really disrupts your momentum. It’s frustrating, but I’m just trying to get as many games as possible under my belt and help the team wherever I can.” The arrival of several new signings has also brought a period of adjustment to the squad, which Bradley believes requires patience. “Yes, it will definitely take time. Building relationships doesn’t happen overnight, it takes weeks and months,” he said. “But I think the new lads are settling in really well. They’re top players and great people too, so that helps a lot.” He singled out one of the new arrivals, Florian Wirtz, as a player he has best connected with.   “Probably Florian Wirtz. We got to know each other when playing for our national teams against one another crazily enough.” Addressing the frequent comparisons made between himself and fellow right back Jeremy Frimpong, Bradley welcomed the intensity. “Competition is always healthy, it pushes you to be your best. Jeremy’s a great guy and a top player. He’s brought great energy from Germany, and I think that kind of challenge only makes us both stronger.”   “For me, it would be about cementing my place in the team and helping Liverpool win trophies. Whether that’s the Champions League, Premier League, or FA Cup, any silverware would mean a lot. We just have to keep striving, and I believe we can go again even stronger next season.” Watch Liverpool take on Brentford away in the Premier League, LIVE on Showmax Premier League this Saturday at 8pm (WAT). Osimhen Breaks Turkish Goal Record, Fires Galatasaray to Cup Glory

Osimhen May Return Against Liverpool -Galatasaray Coach

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk believes Victor Osimhen is winning his race to be involved next Tuesday as the Turkish side hosts Liverpool in the Champions League. Osimhen has not played for Galatasaray since he scored against Rizespor at the end of August after he picked up an injury during the September international break while representing Nigeria in its game against Rwanda. Galatasaray has played three times since then — against Eyupspor and Konyaspor domestically, and a 5-1 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt in Europe — but Osimhen has been missing. The Super Lig side has a star-studded attack regardless, including Leroy Sane and Mauro Icardi, but would like its best number nine to be available too. Buruk told reporters: “He took part in part of the training session. He has minor aches and pains. But if he can tolerate them and play, we hope he’ll be with the team in our next match.” Buruk went on to say that Osimhen is prepared to put his body on the line against Liverpool, which is a huge game anyway, but not least in the context of the heavy defeat on matchday one. “We’ll try him out in training,” Buruk added. “He played for 10 minutes yesterday. His pain is still there. “We expect him to be in the squad for the Alanyaspor match [this weekend]. We expect him to be on the pitch for the Liverpool match.” Liverpool opened its Champions League campaign with a 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid, with Virgil van Dijk powering home a late winner from Dominik Szoboszlai’s corner. “We kept pushing for the 3-1,” Van Dijk said after that match. “We concede the equalizer, massively deflected. It was not great. We found a way again. We were dangerous in our set-pieces anyway, they were pretty aggressive I must say. I’m glad I got the winner. “They’re a team that never gives up, they have quality players that can punish you if you’re not there in a split second, if you’re a little bit too late and they punished us before the break and after the break we try to go for the 3-1. “They get a bit of confidence from that as well. But we have to keep going and show the resilience we’ve been showing for many years and it was another great European night here again.”

Salah Wins Record Third PFA Player of The Year Award

Mohamed Salah has become the first three-time winner of the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Player of the Year award with the Liverpool forward eclipsing two-time winners Cristiano Ronaldo, Thierry Henry and Gareth Bale by claiming the 2025 award. Salah, who was previously voted the Player of the Year in 2018 and 2022, emerged as the winner from a six-player shortlist including Liverpool teammate Alexis Mac Allister, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice and Newcastle striker Alexander Isak. Salah received the PFA trophy at a gala presentation in Manchester on Tuesday, with the Egypt international winning the award, as voted by his fellow players, after scoring 29 goals in Liverpool’s Premier League title winning campaign last season. The 33-year-old’s goal in Liverpool’s 4-2 win against Bournemouth in the opening game of the 2025-26 league season last Friday took him to 187 Premier League goals, moving him into joint fourth position in the all-time standings alongside former Newcastle and Manchester United forward Andy Cole. Salah had previously been one of seven players to have won the PFA Player of the Year award on two occasions. Alongside Salah, Henry (2003 & 2004), Ronaldo (2007 & 2008) and Bale (2011 & 2013) were joined by Kevin De Bruyne ( 2020 & 2021), Alan Shearer (1995 & 1997) and former Manchester United striker Mark Hughes (1989 & 1991) on the list of double winners. Liverpool also dominated the PFA Premier League Team of the Year with four players — Salah, Mac Allister, Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Gravenberch earning selection. For the first time since 2017, no Manchester City player was selected for the team of the year.

Osimhen Linked With Liverpool Move

Liverpool are expected to sign a new No. 9 this summer and out-of-favour Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has now been linked. Osimhen has spent the season with Galatasaray after finding himself frozen out by Antonio Conte and replaced by Romelu Lukaku, and is set to move on permanently this summer. His position at Napoli comes despite scoring 76 goals in 133 games for the club and being widely considered one of the most talented strikers in Europe during their title-winning campaign in 2022/23. That should see him coveted this summer, but having seen proposed moves to Chelsea and Al-Ahli fall through a year ago, it remains to be seen who will pursue a deal. According to Sky Sports‘ Lyall Thomas, Osimhen is one of the strikers Liverpool are considering as they plot to replace Darwin Nunez in the next transfer window. The reporter claimed that Osimhen, Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko are all potential targets, with both Isak and Sesko also linked by reliable sources on Merseyside. While it is not the first time Liverpool have been purported as suitors for Osimhen this is the most concrete link so far this season. Unlike Isak, who is expected to be priced at upwards of £150 million as Newcastle hold firm in their no-sale stance, the Nigerian would be available for £63.8 million due to a release clause in his contract at Napoli. That would be lower than the fee quoted for another target, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike, who is rumoured to be available for £80 million. Osimhen could suit Arne Slot‘s system at Liverpool as a powerful, pacy forward who can hold his own as a lone striker and, crucially, has scored 79 goals in 110 games in the last three seasons at Napoli and so far at Galatasaray. Scoring consistently has been the biggest issue for Nunez, who is set to be made available this summer having failed to establish himself as a key player under Slot. And though there could be question marks over whether his record would translate to the Premier League, only six players across Europe’s top 10 leagues have found the back of the net more often than Osimhen this season. Those are Viktor Gyokeres, Robert Lewandowski, Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele and Mohamed Salah – all elite forwards and a marker of the company Osimhen merits among the best in Europe. Any suggestion that Osimhen is a genuine target should be taken with a pinch of salt at this stage, with Sky Sports’ claim yet to be backed up by Liverpool reporters. But it would be no surprise if those within the club’s recruitment team were not at least monitoring his situation as they weigh up a move for their next No. 9.

Salah Shows Off £725,000 Wristwatch

Mohamed Salah was seen sporting a £725,000 watch as he signed a new two-year deal with Liverpool on Friday morning. Salah, 32, is one of Liverpool’s all-time greatest players, with the Egyptian having scored a remarkable 243 goals in 394 games for the club since joining from Roma in 2017 for an initial £36.5million fee. The forward, who is the Reds’ third highest goal scorer of all-time, has won eight trophies at Anfield and remains integral to Arne Slot’s side as they close in on the Premier League title. Salah’s previous contract was set to expire in the summer and speculation over his future has been a major talking point throughout the campaign, with the forward regularly providing cryptic answers when questioned over his future. However, on Friday, the club confirmed he had put pen to paper on a new deal until 2027 worth £350,000-per-week, ending the dramatic saga. And, as photos started to circulate of Salah’s contract presentation, eagle-eyed fans noticed what the Egyptian was wearing. Alongside his Liverpool shirt and a beaming smile, on his left wrist Salah was sporting a rather fancy-looking blue watch. The timepiece is from Richard Mille, a luxury Swiss watch company that was founded in 2001. Its full name is the Richard Mille RM 17-02 Tourbillon Titanium and one website had the watch on sale for $949,999 (£725,000). One review of the product described it as: ‘The new RM 17-02 Tourbillon Titanium hearkens back to some of the brand’s earliest models with Mille’s hallmark tonneau-shaped case fashioned from satin-finished grade 5 titanium. ‘A biocompatible, highly corrosion-resistant, and remarkably rigid alloy, grade 5 titanium is 90 per cent grade 5 titanium, 6 per cent aluminum, and 4 per cent vanadium. ‘The manual-winding RM 17-02 debuted in 2022 with a lightweight TZP ceramic and satin-finished 18-karat red gold case and came in white and blue versions limited to 30 pieces each. ‘Then, earlier this year, the brand unveiled a version in White Quartz TPT, which was also limited to 30 pieces. ‘Now, this fourth titanium iteration, which is not limited, exhibits a more discreet character, underscoring timeless style with what may be viewed as an almost retro vibe for longtime Mille devotees.’

Salah Signs New £350,000-Per-Week Liverpool

Mohamed Salah has finally signed a new deal with Liverpool. The Egyptian has put pen to paper on a two-year contract worth £350,000 per week, ending one of the club’s biggest contract sagas of the century. Liverpool have broken club policy in offering him a new deal, as Fenway Sports Group are typically reluctant to hand out new contracts to players over 30. Mail Sport reported on Wednesday that Salah was close to agreeing a new deal. It is a major success for Liverpool to get this over the line, with Salah having given worrying updates throughout the season, and with the threat of Saudi Arabian clubs looming. In November he said he was ‘more out than in’. ‘Of course I’m very excited. We have a great team now. Before also we had a great team. But I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football,’ he told the club website. ‘It’s great, I had my best years here. I played eight years, hopefully it’s going to be 10. Enjoying my life here, enjoying my football. I had the best years in my career. ‘I would like to say to [the fans], I am very, very happy to be here. I signed here because I believe we can win a lot of big trophies together. Keep supporting us and we’ll give it our best, and hopefully in the future we’re going to win more trophies.’ In their announcement, Liverpool played on the ‘more out than in’ comment, writing he is now ‘more in than out’. The 32-year-old was pictured sat on a throne in the middle of the Anfield turf. A contract offer had been on the table for some time but Salah and his representative, Ramy Abbas, wanted a better deal. It is understood that Salah initially wanted a three-year extension, and while FSG have not given him that, they have broken their traditional policy by offering him a new deal at his age. Salah had attracted mass interest from Saudi Arabia in the last two years. That saw Al-Ittihad make a £150million bid in August 2023, which was swiftly rejected by Liverpool. The Saudis have retained an interest in Salah and explored whether they could convince him to join them this summer, when his Liverpool contract was set to expire. The 32-year-old has long been the ‘dream target’ of the Saudi Pro League. Salah has already cemented his legendary status at the club in another record-breaking season, which is on course to end with a second Premier League title. He is now the third top scorer in the club’s history with 243 goals in 394 appearances, having overtaken Billy Liddell and Gordon Hodgson this campaign.
