Taye Arimoro Sues Peggy Ovire Over Alleged Assault on Movie Set, Demands N100 Million

Actor Taye Arimoro has sued his colleague, Peggy Ovire, and her production company over an alleged assault during a movie shoot. Through his lawyers, Inibehe Effiong Chambers, Arimoro is demanding a public apology and N100 million in damages, citing a violation of his fundamental human rights. Arimoro alleged on his official Instagram page that the incident occurred after he tried to leave the set when his contracted working hours had ended. He claimed that Peggy and her team blocked his car, damaged its tyres, and physically assaulted him, injuring his gums and lips. “I said I wanted to go home, but they don’t want me to. They held me against my will, and that wasn’t cool. Why would you block me? I can’t go to my house again? Why? I’m not shooting two scenes. I told you, if it’s 12 p.m., I’m out,” he said during an Instagram livestream. Arimoro added, “I definitely need to see a dentist because my lower front tooth is damaged, and I’m also seeing a lawyer. I can’t drive my car because they deflated about three of my tyres. It’s really bad. I’ve never experienced anything like this because I don’t cause trouble, especially when it comes to work.” Peggy Ovire denied the allegations in an Instagram post, claiming that Arimoro was the aggressor during the confrontation.

Jarvis Management Threatens Legal Action Over Peller’s Money Laundering Claims

The management of TikTok creator Amadou Elizabeth, popularly known as Jadrolita or Jarvis, has issued a legal warning to fellow creator Hamzat Habeeb, aka Peller, over allegations linking her to money laundering. Peller made the claims during a recent TikTok livestream, suggesting that some creators use the platform’s gifting system for illicit purposes and implying Jarvis was involved. Clips from the livestream circulated widely on social media, with Peller stating he initially thought Jarvis was wealthy until she “revealed the secret.” He also alleged that a supporter who gifted him during a livestream once asked for a 50:50 split of the proceeds, which he declined, using the incident to illustrate how money could allegedly be laundered through TikTok gifts. Although the two creators later appeared to reconcile on social media, Jarvis’s management, Aiso Entertainment, addressed the controversy on Sunday via Instagram handle #aisohub, describing the allegations as false, defamatory, and harmful to her reputation. “The management of Jadrolita, alongside Jadrolita herself, unequivocally and categorically refutes this claim in its entirety,” the statement read, emphasizing that Jarvis has never participated in any illegal financial activity. Aiso Entertainment demanded that Peller issue a public apology within 48 hours, warning that failure to comply would lead to legal action. The statement added that the claims constitute reputational sabotage and would not be overlooked.
