APC Bars Kayode Ojo From Contesting Ekiti Governorship Primary
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has disqualified Ekiti State governorship hopeful, Engr Kayode Ojo, from participating in the party’s primary election and the forthcoming gubernatorial race. The development followed his visit to the APC secretariat in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, where party executives reportedly declined to receive him. Ojo’s visit had drawn a massive crowd as thousands of his supporters from the 16 local government areas of the state stormed Ado-Ekiti, creating heavy traffic ahead of the October 27 primary election. According to a report by TVC News, the party leadership has now officially ruled Ojo out of the governorship contest.
