Igor Tudor Set To Take Over As Tottenham Interim Coach Until Season’s End

Igor Tudor has reportedly agreed to take over as Tottenham’s interim head coach for the remainder of the season, according to the Press Association. The move follows the dismissal of Thomas Frank on Wednesday after a 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle, which left Spurs 16th in the Premier League and just five points clear of the relegation zone. Tottenham’s players have been given time off until Monday, as the club has had no fixtures since their FA Cup exit in January, giving Tudor the opportunity to settle in before the squad returns. The 47-year-old former Croatia international was sacked by Juventus last October following an eight-match winless run. He has also managed Galatasaray, Udinese, Marseille, and Lazio. Spurs had been considering several candidates for the interim role, which will cover the final three months of the 2025/26 campaign. Reported options included former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, currently occupied with World Cup duties in the United States, as well as Marco Rose, formerly of RB Leipzig, and ex-Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic. Tottenham will face Arsenal at home in the north London derby on February 22, marking Tudor’s potential first Premier League challenge in charge.

Juventus Sack Igor Tudor After Lazio Loss

Juventus has dismissed head coach Igor Tudor following a 0–1 Serie A defeat to Lazio, with the club’s management citing the need for a change after a string of poor results. According to Fabrizio Romano, Tudor has been officially informed of his sacking by the Juventus board. Massimo Brambilla will serve as interim coach while the club evaluates candidates for a permanent replacement. The loss to Lazio was Tudor’s third consecutive defeat, extending Juventus’ winless streak to eight matches. The team has struggled to find consistency, with difficulties both in attack and defense. Reports suggest that Italian manager Raffaele Palladino could be considered as Tudor’s successor, potentially taking over for the remainder of the season if the board approves the appointment.

Juventus sacks manager Thiago Motta

Juventus have sacked head coach Thiago Motta less than a season into his tenure and moved quickly to line up his replacement. Motta, 42, was officially informed of his dismissal by the club’s hierarchy on Sunday after a nightmare run of results and has been replaced by Igor Tudor. Tudor, whose last managerial role came at Serie A rivals Lazio, will take charge for the rest of the season with Champions League qualification crucial in determining whether his deal is extended. He will oversee his first training session on Monday. Juventus crashed out of the Champions League and both the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana this season, and recently suffered a 4-0 humbling at the hands of title contenders Atalanta, their heaviest home defeat since 1967. Motta’s last match at the helm proved to be the 3-0 loss at eighth-placed Fiorentina, a result that left the Old Lady in fifth, one point adrift of fourth.
