Veteran Nollywood actor Mustapha Bakare Otolo, popularly known as Baba Oloto, has made a bold claim about the earnings of his colleague, Ibrahim Chatta. According to Baba Oloto, Chatta is currently the highest-paid actor in Nollywood, reportedly charging as much as ₦5 million per day for movie roles. He also disclosed that the actor demands ₦29 million from filmmakers who wish to use his film village for production, a figure he described as unmatched in the industry. Baba Oloto noted that while Chatta’s success reflects his hard work and influence, many older actors are not as fortunate, earning as little as ₦250,000 per scene. He lamented that the wide income gap has left many veteran performers struggling financially despite their years of contribution to Nollywood. “Ibrahim Chatta is the highest-paid actor presently.
