Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has strongly responded to a social media troll who accused her of acting as a “pimp” in the Nigerian film industry, allegedly connecting young women with top directors, industry executives, and politicians. The troll also claimed that Badmus used these connections to advance her political ambitions. Addressing the allegation, Badmus wrote: “This is the attention you’ve been craving for, so let’s get into it…. This is a false accusation and authorities will step in….. Let it be known that we do not forgive in this zone.” Her statement emphasized that the claims are baseless and warned of legal action against those spreading them. Badmus has a history of confronting online defamation. In 2023, a TikToker who made similar false claims about her was arrested and jailed for cyberstalking, highlighting the real consequences of spreading unfounded accusations.
