Tonto Dikeh Responds To Backlash Over Deliverance Video, Says Her Eyes Are On Jesus
Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has fired back at critics following the reactions that trailed her recent deliverance video, insisting that she will not be discouraged from speaking about her faith. Responding to the backlash, the actress explained that the mission she believes God has given her is too significant to be derailed by online opinions. She said her attention remains fixed on Jesus rather than the criticism circulating on social media. “THE ASSIGNMENT GOD HAS PLACED UPON ME IS TOO IMPORTANT TO GET DISTRACTED. MY EYES ARE ON JESUS, AND HE NEEDS NO ONE TO DEFEND HIS NAME.” Dikeh, who described herself as Evangelist Tonto Dikeh, stated that she is willing to face public ridicule if that is what comes with openly declaring her faith. “I EVANGELIST TONTO DIKEH WOULD RATHER BE MOCKED, RIDICULED, would rather be mocked, ridiculed, or even slain than silence the name of the one who saved me. I REFUSE TO HIDE GOD TO PROTECT MY IMAGE BEFORE MERE MORTALS.” She maintained that the criticism has not shaken her resolve, adding that she would gladly accept mockery if it means remaining true to her beliefs. “IF IT COMES TO IT, I WILL WEAR MOCKERY LIKE PERFUME AND CARRY REPROACH LIKE A CROWN, BECAUSE HE IS WORTH IT ALL.” Concluding her message, the actress expressed love for both those who support her and those who oppose her, while suggesting that the battle she faces is spiritual rather than personal. “I LOVE YOU ALL(the good, the ugly and the bad) THE WORLD IS NOT FIGHTING ME, THE KINGDOM OF HELL IS, AND I UNDERSTAND THIS.
