According to the post, Barbiecue suffered a fatal head injury after falling down a flight of stairs while helping a woman with her baby carrier. She spent several days in a coma before passing away two days ago. Her sister described her as a “kind, selfless soul” who was helping someone else even in her final moments. The tribute read: “In Loving Memory. It’s with a heavy heart that I share some very sad news. My dear sister and friend (Barbiecue) passed away two days ago after being in a coma. She fell while trying to help a woman with her baby carrier and suffered a severe head injury. Despite all efforts, she didn’t make it. Please keep her family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.” It continued: “Still can’t believe you’re gone. Thank you for your kindness, your laughter, and the light you brought into every room. Some people leave quietly, but their love echoes forever. Rest peacefully, my dear sister and friend. Your kindness was your legacy, and your love will never fade.” Her sister added in the caption: “You were so full of life, always making sure we were okay, always giving even when you didn’t have enough. Many people misunderstood you and even hated you because of what they heard, but they never knew you were an angel sent by God. I’m writing this with so much pain and tears in my eyes. God, why so soon? Rest in peace, my sweet little sister. I’ll love you forever.” Barbiecue had previously attracted controversy online, including allegations of scamming users over claims about her sister’s health. She was also known for her outspoken fandom of Wizkid and frequent online disses directed at Davido, which increased her notoriety. According to eyewitnesses, the confrontation began when Mr. Adegoke caught a group of students gambling inside a classroom. The situation quickly escalated as the students allegedly turned violent, assaulting the teacher and causing severe injuries, including broken limbs. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but sadly died from his injuries. A statement from a group of concerned educators described Mr. Adegoke as “a dedicated and disciplined professional whose life was cut short in the line of duty.” “This tragic and avoidable death is not only an assault on Mr. Adegoke but also an attack on the entire teaching profession,” the statement read. The educators urged the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), and law enforcement authorities to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice. They also called on the parents of the students involved to take responsibility for failing to instill discipline in their children. Highlighting the incident as a reflection of growing moral decay in schools and homes, the group stressed the urgent need for stricter disciplinary policies, moral education, and stronger safety measures for teachers across public schools. The crash also claimed the life of his police orderly, Sergeant Adamu Hussaini, while the commissioner’s driver sustained injuries and is receiving medical treatment. Governor Muhammadu Yahaya described the late commissioner as “a disciplined officer and dedicated public servant who brought his wealth of military experience, leadership, and patriotism into the service of Gombe State.” He added, “Col. Abdullahi Bello (retd) will be remembered for his courage, discipline, and selfless service, carrying out his duties with unwavering diligence and responsibility.” The governor extended condolences to the family of the deceased, his colleagues, and the Balanga Local Government community, praying for Allah’s forgiveness and to grant him Aljannat Firdaus. Prayers were also offered for the speedy recovery of the injured driver.
