She wrote, “Under all that anesthesia, I said ‘he didn’t even wait to be beaten’—the doctors laughed.” She described the moment as astonishing, adding, “It really did blow my mind, ‘cause you never know what to expect.” Looking back on her pregnancy, Lucy expressed gratitude for how smooth the experience was, despite the emotional and mental challenges. “The whole pregnancy I was waiting for the hard painful part to start, it never came, and I’m grateful for it,” she said.
