Juju Legend Sir Shina Peters Reveals He Became A Father At 14 And Achieved Early Success

Nigerian juju music icon Oluwashina Akanbi Peters, better known as Sir Shina Peters, has shared insights into his extraordinary early life, revealing that he became a father at just 14 years old. Speaking on a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, the Afrojuju star recounted how he started his music career at the age of 10 and achieved several remarkable milestones while still a teenager. “I started my career at the age of 10. I had my first child at 14. I bought my first car at 13. I built my first house at 16, and I’ve been going here and there — three cases in a day since I was 16/17,” Sir Shina Peters said. The 67-year-old also reflected on his fan base, noting that it stretches far beyond his Yoruba roots. “65 per cent of my fans are Igbos, not Yorubas. My fans are demanding that I give them new music, but I just don’t go to the studio. I can’t go to the studio, the atmosphere is not conducive for me. I don’t know what to sing,” he added. Sir Shina Peters’ revelations highlight not only his early achievements but also the enduring impact of his music across Nigeria and beyond.
