Seyi Tinubu Gifts Sarah Martins ₦20 Million After Arrest Over Street Food Outreach
Actress and philanthropist Sarah Martins has received ₦20 million from Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, following her recent arrest by the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) for using a public sidewalk to distribute free meals to the needy.
In a video making the rounds online, a representative of Seyi Tinubu met with Sarah to deliver the support funds, explaining that the gesture was intended to help her continue her charity work in a safer and more sustainable way.
“We want you to get a proper space where public health and safety will not be compromised,” the representative said. “When you secure a shop, Seyi Tinubu will also provide state-of-the-art industrial kitchen equipment to help you expand your work. This is just to help you start.”
The representative noted that although Seyi Tinubu was out of the country, he had been following Sarah’s humanitarian efforts and was impressed by her consistency and compassion.
“Seyi is a philanthropist who sees what you do and appreciates your effort. This is his way of encouraging you to keep it up — but in line with public health regulations,” he added.
An emotional Sarah Martins, who appeared moved by the gesture, said, “Seyi Tinubu sent me ₦20 million to support what I do. I’m short of words, I’m literally speechless. God bless you, Mr. Seyi Tinubu. This means a lot to me and the street kids.”
Her arrest had earlier stirred public debate, with many defending her intentions while others urged the need for organized charity efforts that align with safety standards.
