Ned Nwoko Clarifies Regina Daniels’ Age, Denies Marrying Her At 17

Senator Ned Nwoko has publicly clarified misunderstandings regarding the age of his wife, actress Regina Daniels, amid reports of tension in their marriage.

Sharing a photo of Regina’s INEC voter’s card, Nwoko refuted claims that he married her at 17, calling such suggestions “entirely untrue and misleading.” He explained that when they first met, he asked Regina her age, and she said she was 21. He then requested documentation, and she provided her voter’s card, which shows her birthdate as October 10, 1998. “I informed her that I would keep this document in my possession, and I have done so since that day,” Nwoko stated.

He also pointed to a BBC interview given by Regina’s mother after their marriage, which supports her stated age. According to all verifiable records, the couple married six years ago, meaning Regina is now 27 years old. “Any suggestion that I married her at 17 is false and should not be accepted by the public. The facts are verifiable and indisputable,” he added.

Nwoko further advised the public to approach Regina’s other claims with caution, citing what he described as her current mental condition and her abandoned rehabilitation programme for illegal drug use. “Until the facts are verified, I urge the public to approach all her claims with caution and discernment, especially taking into account her current mental condition having started and abandoned her rehabilitation from illegal drug addiction,” he said.

By presenting official documents and verified records, Nwoko sought to correct misinformation about Regina’s age and provide clarity to the public. His statement underscores that verified evidence should guide public perception rather than unsubstantiated claims.

The clarification comes amid ongoing public scrutiny of the Nwoko-Daniels family and their reported marital disputes.
