Miss Universe 2025 Erupts As Miss Mexico And Other Contestants Walk Out Over Insult

Drama unfolded at the Miss Universe 2025 pre-pageant ceremony in Thailand after several contestants stormed out in protest over the alleged mistreatment of Miss Mexico, Fatima Bosch.

The tension began when Nawat Itsaragrisil, a Thai pageant official, reportedly berated Bosch for not posting enough promotional content on social media. Witnesses claim he called her “dumb” and told her to “shut up” during a heated exchange, even threatening to have her disqualified before summoning security.

The confrontation drew immediate backlash, as Bosch left the venue in protest. Several other contestants soon followed, walking out in solidarity with the Mexican representative.

Addressing the incident, Bosch expressed disappointment and called for respect and professionalism within the pageant community.

She said, “As a country, you have all my respect. I truly love Thailand and its people. But what your director did is not respectful. He called me dumb and told me to shut up, among other things. I think the world needs to see this because we are empowered women. This is a platform for our voice.”

The incident has since gone viral, sparking outrage among fans and women’s rights advocates who are demanding an apology and accountability from the pageant’s organizers.
