How Disappointment Made Me Isolate Myself For Three Days And Strengthened My Faith — Kamo State

Actor and content creator Kamo State has opened up about a recent personal challenge that caused him to withdraw from the public eye for three days, calling the experience a turning point in his life.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, the skit maker shared that the setback left him emotionally drained but ultimately strengthened his faith in God. During his brief isolation, he found comfort in gospel music by BBO and Grace Idowu, though he admitted he struggled to pray and spent much of the time in tears, questioning human nature despite his own sacrifices.

“Recently, I went through a deep disappointment. It forced me to rely completely on God rather than people. The pain was intense, and I isolated myself for three days, which is very unusual for me. During that period, I found solace in @officialbbo_ & @gracee_idowu songs. I couldn’t pray, only cry, asking God why people can be so disappointing despite all we give,” he wrote.

Kamo State reflected on the lessons he gained, quoting Proverbs 3:5-6 and emphasizing the importance of trusting God’s plan. He also revealed that he has forgiven the person who hurt him, noting that forgiveness is essential to receiving one’s own blessings.

He said the experience has reignited his confidence, strengthened his belief in his dreams, and renewed his determination. “As creatives, we often battle our own struggles behind the scenes. This period has made me fearless. We also just hit 1 million organic followers on Instagram! God has been faithful. He won’t abandon me; He will wipe my tears, rewrite my story, and protect me from shame. This marks a new chapter — a chapter of God’s takeover. Watch this space!”
