Deji Adeyanju Secures Release Of Man Arrested After Online Clash With Alabi Lawrence
Human rights lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju has intervened to secure the release of Seun, a Lagos-based youth who was arrested following a heated exchange with influencer Alabi Lawrence on social media.
Seun was taken into custody after being accused of making hurtful remarks online about Lawrence’s wife and her fertility struggles. The arrest reportedly caused significant distress to his family.
Adeyanju later shared photos showing Seun reunited with his parents, describing the emotional toll the incident took on them. “Just secured the release of Lawrence’s victim, Seun, from the police station in Lagos. Seun’s mum and dad in the picture were traumatized by the arrest,”
His intervention has drawn widespread commendation online, with many Nigerians condemning the arrest as excessive and applauding Adeyanju for stepping in to defend the young man.
