Davido Denies Owing Event Planner $50,000, Calls Allegations “Crazy”

Davido has dismissed claims that he owes an event planner, calling the allegations “crazy.”

The controversy started after reports suggested that Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, a renowned event planner, had publicly demanded $50,000 from the singer for services provided at his wedding.

Bucknor-Obruthe has since denied the claims, calling them “totally false and misleading.” She clarified on Instagram that the quotes circulating online were fabricated and did not come from her official account.

“This is my official Instagram handle. I’m seeing a false narrative flying around about Davido that I purportedly posted. All posts online, on Twitter, TikTok, Instagram are totally false and misleading,” she stated.

Responding to the situation on X, Davido described the saga as “Crazy atp (at this point).”
