Kcee Reveals Why He Refused To Sign Flavour Years Ago Amid Feud Speculations

Kcee has opened up on the long-standing tension between him and Flavour, clarifying that their history goes back to the early days of Flavour’s career when a recording deal was on the table. According to the Limpopo singer, Flavour was introduced to him by music executive Soso Soberekon for a possible signing, but he turned the offer down because he did not see enough potential at the time. He suggested that the recent shade thrown at him by the highlife star may be rooted in how far he has risen against expectations. “When some people had written you off, hoping that you would be stagnant, and you work hard and get to a level they don’t expect you to reach, that was what happened.” Kcee also made it clear that he never had any personal issues with Flavour, adding that at the time of their first meeting, he was already established in the industry. “I came into the music industry before Flavour. Soso Soberekon brought him to me years ago to sign to my record label. I was already driving exotic cars and balling before he came to Lagos. I told Soso I can’t sign Flavour because I didn’t see potentials in him at that time. It wasn’t because I have something against him.” Despite the lingering tension, Kcee insists he still cannot pinpoint the real source of the bad blood. “Till now, I don’t understand the reason for his beef with me, especially that incident where he alleged that someone was coping him.” He added that many colleagues have often misjudged him due to his quiet nature. “A lot of my colleagues underrate my talent and my humility also contributed to that. Because I don’t brag. I don’t need it. But as I always say, time will always prove them wrong. My work always prove every doubter wrong.” Kcee concluded by saying that time is already exposing the truth, as some who once doubted him have since returned to apologise and admit their mistakes.

Nollywood Actress Bimbo Akintola Says Online Harassment Shaped Her Support For Tinubu In 2023

Nollywood actress Bimbo Akintola has disclosed that online bullying of those with opposing political views influenced her decision to back President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 general election. In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Akintola explained that she was disturbed by attacks on people, including veteran actress Joke Silva, simply for sharing their preferred candidates. The intensity of the harassment prompted her to openly reaffirm her own choice. She urged Nigerians to respect differing opinions, stressing that disagreement is natural and contributes to the country’s diversity. While acknowledging that some may not consider Tinubu the best candidate, she said her support reflected her personal conviction at the time. “Somebody annoyed me; Nigerians annoyed me. Don’t bully other people. We have our right to different opinions. Don’t you like this man? Fine. You have the right not to like him. Do you prefer this person? Good for you. They bullied Aunty Joke to the point that somebody wrote something that offended me so deeply. I now did a video saying, you know what, I’m going for the same person; kill me. Let me see you change my mind with the bully,” she said. Akintola called for greater tolerance, adding, “We can never agree with everybody. That’s what makes us great, beautiful, and different. Till tomorrow, you might not agree he is the best person for the job, but at that point, that is who I wanted; that is who I voted for.”

Fuji Legend K1 De Ultimate Declares Interest In Awujale Throne Of Ijebuland

Fuji music icon Otunba Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has formally declared his intention to vie for the vacant stool of the Awujale of Ijebuland. The announcement comes as the Fusengbuwa Ruling House begins the traditional process of presenting candidates to fill the prestigious position, following the passing of Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, GCON. In a letter dated 3 December 2025 and addressed to the Chairman of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House in Agunsebi Quarters, Ijebu-Ode, Ayinde, who holds the national honour of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON), stated that his candidacy is guided strictly by Ijebu customary law and Ogun State Chieftaincy Laws. He emphasized that he was born on 3 March 1957 and is a “bonafide son” of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, tracing his ancestry to the Oba Jadiara lineage—a qualification that makes him eligible for consideration. The Fuji maestro highlighted his decades-long music career and contributions to promoting Ijebu culture, Yorubaland, and Nigerian heritage. He also recalled being conferred with the chieftaincy titles of Olori Omo-Oba and Otunba Afidipotemole of Akile Ijebu in 2023 by the late Oba Adetona. Separately, the Awujale Interregnum Administration Council, through the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Oke Abiodun Adebanjo, formally notified the Fusengbuwa Ruling House that it is their turn to nominate candidates for the throne. The council stressed that the process must follow the rotational arrangement and traditional succession laws. The ruling house leadership, including Chairman Otunba Abdul-Lateef Adebayo Owoyemi, Deputy Chairman Otunba Adedokun Ajidagba, and Vice Chairman Prof. Fassy Adetokunbo Yusuf, has been asked to submit nominated candidates within 14 days. An important ritual is scheduled for Tuesday, 2 December 2025, when the Ogbeni Odi will officially carry the Awujale’s Staff of Office, marking the start of the next phase in the succession process. The council called for a peaceful and transparent exercise, emphasizing unity and respect for tradition in filling the historic stool. The Awujale of Ijebuland is one of Nigeria’s most respected traditional positions. The late Oba Adetona, who ruled for over six decades, was celebrated for his wisdom, leadership, and influence on national affairs. His passing has created a significant vacuum in Ijebuland and the wider traditional institution. With K1 De Ultimate officially in the race, public interest in the succession process is expected to rise. While other princes from the Fusengbuwa lineage may also declare interest, the final decision will follow the traditional selection procedures involving the ruling house, kingmakers, and customary structures. As the 14-day nomination period begins, attention now turns to the Fusengbuwa Ruling House to see which candidates will be presented and how the succession will unfold.

VeryDarkman Admits He Initiated Call Leading to Harrison Gwamnishu’s Arrest in Edo State

Social media commentator VeryDarkman has revealed that he was the one who initiated the call that led to the arrest of activist Harrison Gwamnishu, currently in police custody in Benin, Edo State. In a video shared on Facebook, VeryDarkman said he first learned of an incident involving Gwamnishu in Auchi and was disappointed by the details he received. He claimed he had advised those involved to keep the matter private, but after a video emerged online, he felt compelled to act. VeryDarkman described Gwamnishu’s response video as an attempt to “gaslight” the public and manipulate sentiment. He added that the police had instructed witnesses not to record the incident, but one person captured a clip showing Gwamnishu returning money related to the case. Addressing claims that jealousy motivated his actions, VeryDarkman insisted that he intervened to ensure “the truth” was upheld. He expressed hope that once Gwamnishu is released, the activist will publicly clarify the incident, warning that he may disclose further details if that does not happen. He stated: “Harrison Gwamnishu is in police custody in Benin, Edo State. He was arrested yesterday night. In all honesty, I initiated the call that led to his arrest. I did. I’m really disappointed in everything, but I would wait for him to come out, and this time, I want him to use his mouth to say the truth about what happened in Auchi. “When the whole thing happened, they called me. I was surprised, so I had to make other calls, spoke to the police, asked different questions, and when the story was confirmed, I was sad. “Then I saw Harrison had made his own video to explain. When I watched it, it was really gaslighting, especially because I know the truth. He didn’t manage it well, trying to counter the narrative, seek sympathy, and manipulate people emotionally. I was disappointed. “Anyway, he’s in police custody. I made that call, and when he comes out, I hope he will tell the public the truth. As for the money, whether he took it or not, here is a video of him returning it.” “Harrison was arrested last night, in all honesty i made the call that led to his arrest. I am really disappointed in everything, but i will wait for him to come out and use his mouth to say the truth about what happened in Auchi." ~ Verydarkman pic.twitter.com/Nd17nskKhL — Nigeria Stories (@NigeriaStories) December 5, 2025
