Daniel Etim-Effiong Says He Prays Before Performing Kissing Scenes In Films
Nollywood actor and filmmaker Daniel Etim-Effiong has shared that he always turns to prayer before performing kissing scenes on screen, saying his faith guides the choices he makes in his acting career. On Channels Television’s Rubbin’ Minds, Etim-Effiong explained that many Nollywood films feature kissing scenes because producers believe romantic moments draw viewers and generate interest. He noted that this trend reflects audience demand rather than personal preference. “I often play romantic roles, which sometimes include kissing scenes. People think I do too many, but the real question is for the producers—why show affection in only one way when there are many? Every choice has its challenges, but staying focused helps me navigate criticism,” he said. Etim-Effiong added that prayer provides him with clarity and peace before shooting intimate scenes. “I go on my knees and pray before I step on set. My family keeps me grounded, and my work is my calling,” he explained. Having transitioned from a career in engineering to filmmaking, the actor described acting as both a calling and a form of worship. “Leaving a well-paying engineering job to pursue storytelling was a leap of faith. Acting lets me share stories that inspire people, and for me, that is a way of serving God,” he said.
Ned Nwoko Sparks Reactions After Saying Every Man Should Have More Than One Wife
Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, has reignited public debate on marriage following his recent interview on Channels Television, where he openly defended polygamy and spoke candidly about his personal life. The senator, well known for his polygamous lifestyle, stated that he strongly believes “every man should marry more than one wife.” When asked how he manages to maintain peace among his four wives, Nwoko responded with humour. “I’m sure you have a wife and girlfriends. Now, imagine I tell you to stand on one leg — it’s tough, right? But when you stand on two, three, or four legs, you’re much more balanced. That’s exactly how it is,” he said, laughing. “Honestly, I feel sorry for men with only one wife. It must be hard standing on one leg.” Speaking on the religious perspective of polygamy, he said, “The Old Testament supports it, and I am a man of the Old Testament as well as a man of faith.” When asked if he intends to marry more wives, Nwoko chuckled and replied, “That’s not what we’re here to discuss.” However, when pressed further on whether he would make the same choice again, he said confidently, “Of course, yes. I’d do it again and again.” Reacting to questions about his preference for young, beautiful women, Nwoko said with a smile, “That’s just how it is — and that’s how it should be.” He also dismissed rumours linking him to domestic vi%lence, saying, “No, come on. I’m not a vi%lent person. I respect my wives, I love them, and I love my kids. That’s not me.” Ned Nwoko, a lawyer, businessman, and politician, is married to Nollywood actress Regina Daniels. He remains a vocal supporter of polygamy, which he often describes as a natural, traditional, and practical way of life.

NDLEA Arrests Pretty Mike, Ex-BBNaija Star Tuoyo And Over 100 Others In Lagos Nightclub Raid
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested Lagos socialite and nightclub owner, Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, popularly known as Pretty Mike, alongside former Big Brother Naija housemate Tuoyo Ideh, and more than 100 other guests during a midnight raid on Proxy Nightclub in Victoria Island, Lagos. In a statement released on Sunday by NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, the agency said cartons of banned substances, including Loud and laughing gas, were recovered during the operation, which took place in the early hours of Sunday, October 26, 2025. According to the NDLEA, its operatives acted on credible intelligence and infiltrated the club around 11 p.m. on Saturday. The raid was launched at about 3 a.m. on Sunday in line with standard operating procedures. The statement read, “In Lagos, NDLEA operatives in the early hours of Sunday, October 26, raided Proxy Nightclub at 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, where a drug party was ongoing. Over 100 suspects, including the owner of the club, Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, alias Pretty Mike, were arrested and taken into custody for screening. Cartons of illicit substances, including Loud and laughing gas, were recovered from suspects and the club’s store.” Confirming his arrest, Tuoyo Ideh took to Instagram on Sunday to express frustration over the incident. He wrote, “I have been arrested by the NDLEA from a nightclub in Lagos for basically doing nothing at all. Since around 4 a.m., they made us sit down like criminals. We are over 150 people here at NDLEA headquarters, Ikoyi. We didn’t commit any crime. They came into the club with guns and told everyone to lie down.” Efforts to reach Pretty Mike for comment were unsuccessful, as he did not respond to calls or messages as of the time of filing this report. Meanwhile, the NDLEA announced several other major drug busts across the country. At the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, officers intercepted 70 parcels of cocaine weighing 3.6 kilograms concealed inside cocoa butter containers destined for London, United Kingdom. The cocaine was discovered on October 14 during the inspection of cargo declared as personal effects. The cargo agent, Lawal Mustapha Olakunle, who presented the consignment for airfreight, was arrested. Further investigations led to the arrest of two more suspects: a healthcare worker, Ogunmuyide Taiwo Deborah, and a travel agency CEO, Mutiu Adebayo Adebiyi. In a separate operation at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, NDLEA officers foiled an attempt by a 35-year-old Lesotho national, Lemena Mark, to smuggle 103.59 grams of methamphetamine concealed in Diabeta herbal coffee sachets to the Philippines. Similar raids across the country led to multiple arrests and drug seizures. In Kwara State, 21,950 tramadol capsules were found hidden inside a 100-litre water heater. In Taraba, two men were caught transporting 450,000 pills of tramadol and Exol-5. Along the Okene–Lokoja highway, officers seized 162.2 kilograms of cannabis, while another 128 kilograms was recovered in Nasarawa. In Lagos, NDLEA operatives arrested a mother of two, Oyonumoh Glory Effiong, identified as a major distributor of high-grade cannabis known as Loud across Lekki, Ikoyi, and Ajah. Another suspect, Ogunyabo Adenigbigbe, was arrested in Ikorodu, where 275 litres of a drug cocktail called “skuchies” were recovered. Elsewhere, a 75-year-old man, Echendu Onuoka, and a 60-year-old woman, Aukana John, were apprehended in Abia State for possessing large quantities of skunk. In Ondo and Kaduna, operatives recovered hundreds of kilograms of cannabis and thousands of tramadol pills. At the Seme border in Badagry, two suspects were arrested with 55 kilograms of skunk and 121 litres of skuchies. In Zamfara, a suspect identified as Abubakar Ibrahim was arrested while transporting an AK-47 rifle and over 1,700 rounds of ammunition, allegedly destined for criminal elements in Anka Local Government Area. NDLEA Chairman, Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd), commended the officers involved in the operations for their diligence and urged them to maintain the momentum in the agency’s ongoing War Against Drug Abuse (WADA). He said, “While commending the officers and men of MMIA, AIIA, Lagos, Kwara, Abia, Nasarawa, Kogi, Ondo, Anambra, Taraba, Kaduna, Seme, and Zamfara Commands for the arrests and seizures, I urge them and their colleagues across the country to sustain the ongoing offensive against drug traffickers and the balanced approach to the agency’s drug control efforts.”
Regina Daniels Appears Cheerful In New Video After Days Of Marital Crisis Reports
Actress and entrepreneur Regina Daniels has resurfaced on social media, days after rumors of a serious marital fallout with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, dominated headlines. On Saturday, the 25-year-old shared clips of herself aboard a private jet, appearing cheerful and relaxed as she enjoyed a drink while surrounded by friends and family. In one of the videos, a man playfully referred to her as a “gold digger,” prompting laughter from Regina — a moment that quickly went viral and reignited public discussion about her marriage. Another clip captured her smiling and chanting “Morale high,” which many fans interpreted as her subtle way of showing confidence despite the ongoing controversy. Her online return follows days of speculation sparked by a viral video where she was seen in tears, saying, “In Ned’s house, I am nothing. But in my house, I am a queen.” In response to the circulating video, Senator Nwoko accused Regina of alcohol and drug abuse, alleging that her substance use was the cause of their marital problems. “Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. Regina is the violent one here, slapping staff and destroying property for no just cause,” he stated. The lawmaker said he had offered her rehabilitation both within and outside Nigeria and cautioned those spreading misinformation about his family to desist or face legal consequences. Coincidentally, Nwoko also issued a clarification on Saturday regarding another viral video showing him with a young woman. He dismissed claims that she was a new wife, explaining that she was part of a Peace Ambassadors delegation that visited him and his colleagues in Abuja.
Ifu Ennada Opens Up On Losing Her Memory And Overcoming Depression Through God’s Grace
Former Big Brother Naija star Ifu Ennada has opened up about a terrifying period in her life when she lost her memory and battled severe depression, describing it as a season that tested her faith to the core. In an emotional Instagram post, she revealed that over the past 18 months, she went through near-death experiences, mental breakdowns, and intense spiritual struggles that almost destroyed her. Yet, she said her faith in Jesus became her anchor through the chaos. According to Ifu, the ordeal began on July 23, 2025 — her birthday — when she suddenly woke up without any recollection of who she was or recognition of her family members. “It felt like my whole life had been erased, but through the Holy Spirit, I did not forget God. I remembered Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the meaning of my name in Hebrews 11:1. I prayed and I held on,” she recalled. Despite sinking into depression and extreme exhaustion, Ifu said her mother’s prayers and her trust in God helped her survive the darkest moments. She likened the experience to a scene from a thriller movie, noting that her recovery was nothing short of divine. Having stayed away from social media for over a year, the actress and entrepreneur said she decided to share her story now to give hope to others struggling with pain, loss, or despair, emphasizing that faith and prayer can truly bring healing and restoration.
Ned Nwoko Denies Viral Photo Link To Woman Amid Ongoing Marital Drama
Senator Ned Nwoko has reacted to a viral photo and video showing him with a young woman, which fueled online rumors suggesting she was his new lover amid reports of trouble in his marriage to actress Regina Daniels. The viral footage captured the senator beside the woman during what appeared to be an official visit, sparking widespread speculation and social media chatter. In a public statement, Nwoko clarified that the woman was part of a delegation from the Peace Ambassadors Initiative led by Ambassador Dr. Adejo Sule, and that their meeting was purely formal. He wrote: “PUBLIC STATEMENT A video recently brought to my attention shows a young woman who visited with her team under the Peace Ambassadors initiative, led by Ambassador Dr. Adejo Sule, and it is now being circulated online with false claims attempting to affiliate me with her. It is unfortunate what social media has become, a space where moments are easily twisted for clout and misinformation. During the visit, photographs were taken with members of the delegation, as is customary whenever I receive guests. This is not unusual; even in public places or outdoor events, people often request to take pictures with me, and I oblige. It is therefore mischievous and malicious for anyone to exploit such gestures to fabricate false narratives. Let me state clearly and unequivocally that the news being propagated around her visit is entirely false. I do not have any form of personal or private connection with her. I strongly caution individuals, groups, or media outlets spreading this fabricated story to desist immediately. Any further propagation of this false narrative will attract appropriate legal action. The Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015 remains in full force and applies to anyone involved in the deliberate spread of falsehood or defamation in cyberspace.” Nwoko’s statement comes as speculation about his relationship with Regina Daniels continues to dominate headlines. His clarification appears intended to curb the rumors and emphasize that the viral image was taken during an official courtesy visit, not an intimate meeting.
