Production Manager Anierobi Courage Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting Makeup Head
Production manager Anierobi Courage, popularly known as Nwa South, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting Mary Chizzy Eze, the head of makeup. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, was captured in a video that went viral online. The footage showed Courage striking Mary and holding her by the neck before other crew members stepped in to separate them. According to the Nigeria Film Crew Community, the confrontation began after Mary raised concerns about poor accommodation for the crew, noting that 15 female members were being lodged in a single room. In a statement, the community said: “On October 28, 2025, production manager Anierobi Courage a.k.a. Nwa South physically and violently assaulted the head of makeup, Mary Chizzy Eze. He has been arrested, and Mary is receiving medical care. This violent behaviour is unacceptable and should not be tolerated in the industry.” They condemned Courage’s actions as “inhumane” and called for him to be blacklisted for six months while investigations continue. The statement also urged producers and guilds to ensure better welfare and accommodation standards for crew members. Courage, who has previously worked as a casting director on several Nollywood projects, remains in police custody, while Mary recovers from her injuries.

Hellen Ati Claims Cubana Chief Priest Sent Men To Threaten Her Amid Paternity Row
Hellen Ati has renewed her ongoing feud with celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest, accusing him of intimidation and attempts to silence her over a lingering paternity dispute. In a series of posts, Hellen claimed Cubana sent men to threaten her and pressure her into withdrawing her paternity claims. She also shared screenshots of messages, which she said were proof of his manipulation. According to her, Cubana has continually refused to acknowledge their child or take a DNA test to settle the issue once and for all. Addressing him directly, she wrote: “Pascal Okechukwu, it won’t work for you. Stop sending people to do DNA nonsense.” Her remarks came shortly after Cubana Chief Priest pledged to sponsor 50 students at Clifford University — a move she described as hypocritical given his alleged neglect of their child. Cubana, on his part, denied ever being involved with Hellen, stating that he invited her to Nigeria for a DNA test but she demanded money instead.

Wunmi Calls Out Father‑in‑Law Joseph Aloba After SAN Quits DNA Case
Wunmi Aloba, widow of the late singer Mohbad, has slammed her father‑in‑law, Joseph Aloba, after a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) withdrew from the ongoing DNA case. On her Instagram story, she wrote: “Another lawyer, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has withdrawn from the DNA case. To my father‑in‑law, you can get as many lawyers as you want from anywhere in the world; one thing’s certain — you can’t manipulate this DNA. I’m sorry.” She added: “Another lawyer gone. A whole SAN. When people are confident in the truth, they don’t run. They don’t hide. They don’t switch lawyers every month. They don’t ignore court calls. We have cooperated from Day 1. We have never opposed a DNA test. We showed up. We waited. We followed the law.” Wunmi accused her father‑in‑law’s team of delaying the process: “The only people delaying this process are the same people who requested it. No one can manipulate the court, and no one can manipulate science. Let the truth speak — for Liam, for Mohbad, and for justice. November 11 is around the corner. We will be there.” The case revolves around confirming the paternity of Liam, Mohbad’s son, with Wunmi insisting that she has fully cooperated while alleging that the delays stem from her father‑in‑law’s camp.
