The actress described her current reality as a battle for freedom after years of feeling controlled. She accused the senator of targeting her both publicly and privately, saying his actions are designed to tarnish her image at a time when she is trying to rebuild her life. In her words: “Ned can you actually leave me alone ?? Why are you trying so hard to ruin me Publicly and privately because you know in my part of the world, a good reputation equals money. Don’t forget the media loves entertainment and I am an entertainer but I’m tiredddd !!” Regina stated that her troubles began when she was just a teenager, claiming that her life was “trapped” at 17. She accused Nwoko of weaponizing drug allegations against her in an attempt to gain custody of their children. She insisted the only drug she ever took was ecstasy, which she alleges he introduced her to. She also claimed that his own use of Viagra caused recurring health scares that she frequently had to manage. She added: “Coming with a fake drug report just because you want to take custody of my kids is insane and demeaning of your personality.” Regina went on to allege that people within Nwoko’s inner circle informed her that he had been labeling her a drug addict and insisting she needed rehabilitation.
