Adesua Etomi-Wellington Reveals Terrifying Near-Death Ordeal That Led To Unplanned Surgery
Actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington has revealed that she narrowly escaped death in June after a terrifying ordeal that led to an unplanned surgery.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, the Wedding Party star explained that the incident occurred while she was in the United Kingdom with her husband, Banky W, and their sons on a ministry trip.
“Long read, but please stay with me. I could have lost my life in June of this year. I went through a horrific incident that landed me in unplanned surgery. The surgery was ironically the least dramatic part of what I went through,” she wrote. “We were in the UK to serve God, attending two speaking engagements—one in London and the other in Manchester.”
Reflecting on her close call, Adesua said, “If even one single detail of that day were different, I wouldn’t be here today. I shudder when I think about it… I have become even more aware of the goodness and presence of God. Like a map, I can literally look back over that day and trace how His hands were all over that situation. There is nothing anyone can tell me, God is real!”
She concluded by urging her followers to appreciate life and practice compassion: “Let’s be softer, kinder, gentler, forgiving, patient, loving, and peaceful. I will never take another day for granted. Neither should you.”
