Peter Okoye Reveals He Almost Played Football Professionally Before Music Called

Peter Okoye is taking a moment to reflect on his early days as a footballer. Sharing a throwback video featuring himself and Mikel Obi, he revealed that he was once offered a chance to play for Plateau United FC straight out of the Pepsi Academy in Jos.

Despite the opportunity, Peter said his dream had always been to play football in Europe.

He wrote:

“NEVER GIVE UP! Yes, I used to play football and chase music at the same time. I was even offered the chance to play for Plateau United F.C from Pepsi Academy back then in Jos. But my dream was always to play in Europe. Somehow, destiny chose the mic instead. 🎤 Today, I’m an established and successful artist/musician. That’s nothing but grace. OGforever.”
