Igor Tudor Set To Take Over As Tottenham Interim Coach Until Season’s End

Igor Tudor has reportedly agreed to take over as Tottenham’s interim head coach for the remainder of the season, according to the Press Association.

The move follows the dismissal of Thomas Frank on Wednesday after a 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle, which left Spurs 16th in the Premier League and just five points clear of the relegation zone.

Tottenham’s players have been given time off until Monday, as the club has had no fixtures since their FA Cup exit in January, giving Tudor the opportunity to settle in before the squad returns.

The 47-year-old former Croatia international was sacked by Juventus last October following an eight-match winless run. He has also managed Galatasaray, Udinese, Marseille, and Lazio.

Spurs had been considering several candidates for the interim role, which will cover the final three months of the 2025/26 campaign. Reported options included former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, currently occupied with World Cup duties in the United States, as well as Marco Rose, formerly of RB Leipzig, and ex-Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic.

Tottenham will face Arsenal at home in the north London derby on February 22, marking Tudor’s potential first Premier League challenge in charge.
