Uzor Arukwe Threatens Action Against Social Media User Over Fake Bambam-Teddy A Divorce Allegations
Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has issued a strong warning to a social media user after a false tweet linked him to rumors about Bambam and Teddy A’s marriage.
The viral post claimed that BamBam (Bamike Olawunmi‑Adenibuyan) had been divorced by her husband after allegedly becoming pregnant for a colleague on a recent movie set, in which Arukwe starred. The tweet went on to disparage women, stating they are “never to be trustworthy.”
Arukwe quickly addressed the false claims, calling them baseless and reckless. He confirmed that the account behind the post has been identified but refused to quote it directly, saying he would not give it the attention it seeks.
“A specific account has been identified to spread false rumors and baseless accusations about me and my professional engagement with another colleague in the industry. I choose not to quote the account directly, as I refuse to give such accounts the engagement they seek at the risk of jail time. Believe me when I say this: that individual will be made a scapegoat so others learn to respect boundaries and refrain from chasing clout and Elon Musk money at the expense of damaging someone else’s reputation,” Arukwe stated.
He also emphasized that his relationship with BamBam is strictly professional and rejected the notion that he had any involvement in her personal life.
The rumors about Bambam and Teddy A’s marriage emerged after the couple were reportedly seen unfollowing each other on Instagram, though close friends have denied that there is any marital crisis.
Arukwe’s response serves as a reminder of how quickly unverified social media posts can spiral into damaging falsehoods, particularly when they involve high-profile personalities.
