Yul Edochie Explains Why He Doesn’t Share Photos of Children With Estranged Wife

Popular Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has opened up on why he no longer posts pictures of his children with his estranged wife, May Edochie, amid sustained criticism on social media.

Yul addressed the issue during an interview with Kel Armstrong Amobi on the KAA Truth podcast, following backlash over his frequent posts about his second wife, Judy Austin, and her children.

The actor dismissed claims that he had abandoned his children with May, insisting that he remains in constant contact with them and continues to support them financially. He disclosed that he recently sent money to his second son through his mother’s bank account to ensure proper records.

“I’ve heard a lot of things about people saying I abandoned my children. Sometimes I read those things and I laugh. If my children never come to you to complain, it’s funny because I’m in contact with my children,” he said.

Yul revealed that his second son recently gained admission into the university and completed his matriculation, noting that they communicated ahead of the ceremony. Although he was unable to attend due to his busy schedule, he congratulated his son and encouraged him.

He added that his son later sent him pictures from the matriculation, countering online claims that he was out of touch with his children.

“This is the same son they’re saying I’m not in contact with. You can’t set a camera to debunk everything. I chatted with my son yesterday and sent him money today through the mother, so the payment is properly documented,” he explained.

Addressing why he avoids posting his children online, Yul clarified that there is an ongoing divorce case and a court order restricting him from sharing anything related to his children on social media for their safety.

“No matter what happened, it shouldn’t affect the children. There’s a court order saying that anything that has to do with my children, I shouldn’t post for their own safety,” he said.

The actor disclosed that his second son is 17 years old, while the younger child is about eight, stressing that his decision not to post them online should not be mistaken for lack of love.

“So it’s not like I don’t love them. They are my blood,” he added.
