How I Sold Limousine Gifted To Me To Buy Motorcycles For My Pastors – Pastor Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has recounted an emotional testimony about how he handled expensive gifts during the early days of his ministry.

Speaking at a church thanksgiving service, the respected cleric recalled his shock after an elderly woman gifted him a Mercedes-Benz at a time when he was still commuting by bus.

“I almost said, ‘Alakoba wo le leyi?’ I hope this one is not trying to get me into trouble,” Pastor Adeboye said, explaining his initial suspicion and disbelief over the unexpected gift.

Unsure of what to do with the luxury car, he revealed that he parked it and avoided using it altogether. However, his hesitation was soon addressed in a divine encounter. According to him, God rebuked him in a dream for rejecting the woman’s generosity.

“Why are you robbing my daughter of her blessing? She sowed a seed, and you are not allowing the seed to germinate,” Pastor Adeboye quoted God as saying.

Obeying the instruction, the RCCG leader said he gave the car to his late deputy, Pastor Abiodun, despite being encouraged to keep and enjoy it himself.

He further revealed that shortly after giving away the vehicle, he received three more Mercedes-Benz cars, an experience he described as astonishing and faith-building.

While still contemplating what to do with the new gifts, Pastor Adeboye narrated another extraordinary moment when a man arrived at his house around 2:00 a.m. in a rare six-door Mercedes limousine, claiming God instructed him to deliver it immediately.

“I said to God, ‘Even if I die and they put me in this car, I will wake up. Will you permit me to sell the car?’” he recalled.

After praying and receiving divine approval, Pastor Adeboye said he sold the luxury vehicle and used the proceeds to support ministry work.

“I remember I sold it and used the money to buy motorcycles for my pastors,” he concluded.

The testimony drew emotional reactions from congregants, highlighting lessons on obedience, generosity, and divine timing in ministry.
