Signs of fresh discord have emerged within Regina Daniels’ family after the Nollywood actress and her brother, Sweezzy, who lives in the UK, stopped following each other on Instagram, sparking widespread speculation online.

The move comes at a sensitive time, as Regina remains entangled in a highly publicised separation from her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko. The situation appears to involve more than just the two siblings, with checks showing that their brother, Sammy West, has also unfollowed Sweezzy, hinting at a possible internal family disagreement.

The development has surprised many fans, especially considering that Sweezzy and their mother, Rita Daniels, were previously very vocal in pushing for Sammy West’s release when he was recently detained.

The family tension is unfolding alongside legal issues tied to Sammy West’s arrest on November 6, 2025. He was taken into custody in Lagos before being transferred to Abuja following a petition allegedly filed by Senator Ned Nwoko, which accused him of criminal conspiracy, assault, theft and cyberbullying. He was later granted bail on November 10, set at ₦5 million.

The arrest is believed to be connected to the ongoing collapse of Regina Daniels’ marriage. The actress has spoken publicly about a heated custody battle, alleging that Ned Nwoko dismissed her nannies and pressured them to make damaging statements against her. She also claimed that the senator is seeking full custody of their children, even though they are currently in his care.
