Chocolate City Music Accuses Odumodublvck Of Attacking Staff Backstage At Rhythm Unplugged

Chocolate City Music has accused rapper Odumodublvck of physically attacking one of its staff members backstage at Monday’s Rhythm Unplugged concert in Lagos.

In a statement shared on its Instagram page, the label described the incident as a serious escalation in the ongoing feud between Odumodublvck and Chocolate City artist Emeka Akumafule, known professionally as Blaqbonez.

According to the statement, Mr Feyi Ajayi, a Chocolate City employee, was backstage with another artist when Odumodublvck allegedly approached him, issued threats toward the label and its executives, and headbutted him without provocation. Eyewitnesses said that when a bodyguard tried to intervene, Odumodublvck and his associates reportedly poured drinks on Mr Ajayi while shouting abusive language at the staff and management.

Chocolate City confirmed that Mr Ajayi was hospitalised and is currently receiving treatment for injuries sustained during the attack.

The label framed the incident as part of a broader pattern of harassment linked to the ongoing rivalry between Odumodublvck and Blaqbonez. It highlighted previous alleged confrontations, including an altercation at Landmark Beach in December 2024, disputes in Uyo, and incidents at a fashion show in England in 2025. The company also cited repeated online harassment targeting Blaqbonez, his manager Morin Oluwatobi, and Chocolate City executive Osagie Onobun.

The statement further alleged that Odumodublvck had sent over 100 threatening messages to Blaqbonez and other members of the label, some of which were directed at family members and colleagues in the music industry.

“Rap rivalries are part of hip-hop, but physical assault, stalking, spitting on women, threats with weapons, and intimidation are not acceptable,” Chocolate City said.

The company added that it has reported the matter to the authorities and will pursue legal action to protect its staff, artists, and executives. It also urged event organisers and industry stakeholders to strengthen security at live shows and take a firm stance against violence.

Odumodublvck’s representatives were not immediately available for comment.

The feud between Blaqbonez and Odumodublvck began in June 2025 when Blaqbonez released the diss track Who’s Really Rapping, which Odumodublvck interpreted as a personal attack, igniting a heated online exchange between the two artists.
