Kidnappers Hijack Late Kaduna Priest’s Facebook Page, Post Photos Of His Wife And Daughter Still In Captivity
Tension has escalated online after kidnappers took over the Facebook account of the late Venerable Edwin Achi and uploaded photos of his wife and daughter, who remain in captivity.
The Anglican priest was abducted with his family on October 28 from their Kaduna home. Despite his family paying the ransom demanded, the abductors later directed them to pick up his decomposing body, confirming his death after nearly a month in captivity.
In a shocking development, new images of his wife and daughter appeared on his Facebook page on Tuesday, allegedly posted by the kidnappers themselves. The update has sparked widespread panic, with many Nigerians expressing fear over the condition of the surviving family members.
The disturbing posts have prompted renewed calls for decisive action from security agencies, with citizens urging authorities to rescue the hostages before it is too late.
As of now, there is no official word on the efforts to secure their release.
One concerned user wrote, “This is terrifying. May God protect the wife and daughter.” Another added, “Using his own Facebook page to taunt the public? This is pure evil.”
The nation continues to watch anxiously as calls grow louder for urgent intervention.
