Dayo Amusa Elected National Vice President of Actors Guild of Nigeria
Nollywood actress and producer Dayo Amusa has been elected as the National Vice President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) following the guild’s national elections on Saturday in Benin City, Edo State.
The election, which saw participation from guild members across the country, aimed to strengthen leadership and enhance the representation of Nigerian actors.
In a statement released by her media office on Monday, December 8, 2025, Dayo Amusa expressed gratitude to the members for their trust. “Being elected as the AGN National Vice President is a reflection of my dedication, leadership, and long-term commitment to the growth and integrity of the guild,” she said.
She added that her tenure would be guided by transparency, innovation, and impactful service, aimed at inspiring both current and future members. “I am committed to bringing creativity and administrative excellence to the Secretariat and elevating the guild’s operational standards,” the statement read.
Dayo Amusa, known for acting in and producing films such as the Yoruba movie Dewunmi Iberu, revealed her plans to use her new role to promote the welfare of Nigerian actors and to ensure the movie industry contributes meaningfully to national development.
