Why I Made Cash App For Yahoo Boys – Bella Shmurda

Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has disclosed that his 2020 hit Cash App was created with Yahoo boys, or internet fraudsters, in mind.

In a recent interview with Clout Africa, he said the song was meant to capture the struggles of online hustlers and give them something uplifting amid their stressful activities.

“You have to make them happy. Internet fraud is not easy and comes with many challenges,” Shmurda explained. “Inspiration doesn’t always have a backstory. It’s natural, it’s God-given. Cash App is divine.”

Featuring Zlatan and Lincoln, the song quickly became a hit across Nigeria and other African countries, solidifying Bella Shmurda’s rise in the music industry.
