“I am the biological mother of Imisi,” she said. “I know I might be bad but it is God that judges. I am not educated, neither am I rich, but I thank God for supporting Imisi. I went to visit my younger sister in Ajah — she was the one who gave me food and these clothes I am wearing. To everyone blasting me that I didn’t take care of Imisi, I say thank you, but it’s good to always know the true story before judging.”
According to her, despite her support for her daughter during the BBNaija show, things changed after Imisi’s victory.
“As a mother, I was running around for Imisi to win so she could take me out of poverty, yet people say I’m not a good mum,” she continued. “Everyone is cursing me. I had to move out of where I was living. My own daughter said she hates me and can’t stand me. Is it that bad? I have a lot to tell the world. I wasn’t informed about the day she would get her gifts from Big Brother until around 4pm when I was called to dress up, as if she was the one buying clothes for me before. If you were in my shoes, how would you feel?”
Her emotional remarks have stirred mixed reactions online, especially as rumors circulate that Imisi’s mother once threw her out when she was only 12 years old.
