Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Prison Release Set For May 2028
Sean “Diddy” Combs now has a confirmed prison release date, more than three months after a jury returned a mixed verdict in his federal trial.
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the music mogul is scheduled for release on May 8, 2028.
Combs was sentenced to 50 months — just over four years — following his conviction on two counts of transporting individuals to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of the more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, which could have carried decades or even a life sentence if convicted.
The release date accounts for time already served, as Combs has spent roughly one year at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since his arrest in September 2024.
He has filed an appeal challenging both his conviction and sentence.
Combs’ legal team also told CNN that they approached President Donald Trump’s administration to explore the possibility of a presidential pardon.
