Igor Tudor Set To Take Over As Tottenham Interim Coach Until Season’s End

Igor Tudor has reportedly agreed to take over as Tottenham’s interim head coach for the remainder of the season, according to the Press Association. The move follows the dismissal of Thomas Frank on Wednesday after a 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle, which left Spurs 16th in the Premier League and just five points clear of the relegation zone. Tottenham’s players have been given time off until Monday, as the club has had no fixtures since their FA Cup exit in January, giving Tudor the opportunity to settle in before the squad returns. The 47-year-old former Croatia international was sacked by Juventus last October following an eight-match winless run. He has also managed Galatasaray, Udinese, Marseille, and Lazio. Spurs had been considering several candidates for the interim role, which will cover the final three months of the 2025/26 campaign. Reported options included former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, currently occupied with World Cup duties in the United States, as well as Marco Rose, formerly of RB Leipzig, and ex-Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic. Tottenham will face Arsenal at home in the north London derby on February 22, marking Tudor’s potential first Premier League challenge in charge.

Cardi B Fires Back At DHS Over ICE Remarks, Brings Up Epstein Files

Cardi B clashed with the Department of Homeland Security after the agency criticized her comments about ICE and referenced her past admission of allegedly drugging and robbing men while working as a stripper. The controversy began during her Little Miss Drama tour, when Cardi B addressed the possibility of ICE agents attending her concert. She warned fans, “Bitch, if ICE comes in here, we gon’ jump they asses. I’ve got some bear mace in the back! They ain’t taking my fans, bitch.” In response, DHS posted on X (formerly Twitter), taking a jab at her history: “As long as she doesn’t drug and rob our agents, we’ll consider that an improvement over her past behavior.” This referred to an old video in which Cardi B admitted to drugging and robbing men during her time as a stripper. She later clarified, “Whether or not they were poor choices at the time, I did what I had to do to survive. I never claimed to be perfect or come from a perfect world.” Cardi B fired back at the agency, shifting focus to the Jeffrey Epstein case, saying, “If we talking about drugs let’s talk about Epstein and friends drugging underage girls to rape them. Why y’all don’t wanna talk about the Epstein files?” The exchange quickly went viral online, with fans reacting to Cardi B’s fiery defense and her willingness to confront both her critics and systemic issues head-on.

IShowSpeed’s Dad Picks Nigerian Jollof Over Ghanaian In Taste Test

In a separate livestream from his son’s African tour, IShowSpeed’s father, Darren Watkins Sr., took part in a playful culinary showdown to settle the famous West African debate: which jollof rice is better, Nigerian or Ghanaian? Watkins Sr. was presented with two plates — one Nigerian jollof and one Ghanaian jollof — without knowing which was which. After tasting both, he confidently picked the Nigerian version, praising its smoky aroma, rich flavor, and bold seasoning. His decision quickly went viral, sparking reactions and discussions across social media. This was Watkins Sr.’s first time trying both dishes, and unlike his son, who had sampled Nigerian and Ghanaian jollof during his “Speed Does Africa” tour, he relied solely on his own taste test. His verdict added a humorous and engaging twist to the ongoing “jollof wars” debate. The livestream highlighted the elder Watkins’ personality and became a favorite moment for fans, showing that the jollof rivalry extends even to the family of the popular content creator. IShowSpeed had his dad try Nigerian and Ghanaian jollof for the first time to settle the debate and just like Speed, he chose Nigerian 🇳🇬🔥❤️ pic.twitter.com/PhRS4plD9V — Twitch Naija (@Twitchnaija) February 13, 2026

The Independent National Electoral Commission has scheduled the 2027 general elections, setting February 20, 2027, for the Presidential and National Assembly polls, while governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections will be held on March 6, 2027. INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, made the announcement on Friday during a press briefing in Abuja, formally unveiling the commission’s timetable and schedule of activities. The development comes as lawmakers continue deliberations on the amended Electoral Act, whose passage has been delayed at the National Assembly. INEC had earlier indicated on February 4 that it had concluded work on the election timetable despite the pending legislation. The commission noted that while the schedule has already been forwarded to lawmakers, some activities could be reviewed depending on when the amended Electoral Act is eventually passed.

El-Rufai Accuses Nuhu Ribadu Of Ordering Alleged Attempt To Detain Him At Abuja Airport

Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has alleged that the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, orchestrated an attempt by security operatives to detain him at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. El-Rufai made the allegation on Thursday evening when former Vice President Atiku Abubakar paid him a solidarity visit at his residence. According to him, the incident occurred shortly after he returned from Cairo, Egypt. He said operatives of the Department of State Services approached him at the airport alongside officials connected to an anti-corruption agency. Initially, he believed the DSS was working with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, but he later realised it involved the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission. “It turned out that it’s the ICPC that procured the DSS to abduct me and hand me over to them. The ICPC has never invited me. “We now understand that it’s the ICPC, not the EFCC, that’s responsible for what happened today, and the ICPC chairman is acting on the direct orders of Nuhu Ribadu,” El-Rufai said. Reacting to the development, Atiku expressed sympathy for the former governor and called for stronger collaboration among opposition leaders ahead of the next general election. “We must come together and form a very viable opposition because Tinubu is determined to turn Nigeria into a one-party state,” Atiku said.
