Yeni Kuti Claims Wizkid Crossed The Line By Dragging Fela Into Feud With Seun Kuti

Yeni Kuti has weighed in on the ongoing feud between Seun Kuti and Wizkid, saying the singer went too far by bringing her late father, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, into the conflict. Speaking on TVC’s Your View, she clarified that her feelings toward Wizkid, a longtime friend, are not fueled by hostility, but she was hurt by the perceived disrespect toward Fela. “I love Wizkid a lot, he is my paddy na. He is my small friend,” she said. “I remember when he started at the Shrine, he was a backup singer. I cannot stop liking Wizkid.” However, she expressed disappointment over Fela being mentioned in the drama. “He did too much by insulting my father, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti,” Yeni stated. “If you have a problem with someone, why are you now calling Fela out?”. “I love Wizkid a lot, he’s my friend. I wish at the beginning he’d put a stop to it. We’re just about to celebrate our icon at the Grammy and you’re all fighting. You don’t see Bob Marley people do this.” — Fela Kuti’s daughter, Yeni Kuti speaks about Wizkid & Seun Kuti beef. pic.twitter.com/5USyxhK9z3 — 𝐀𝐬𝐚𝐤𝐲𝐆𝐑𝐍 (@AsakyGRN) January 22, 2026

VeryDarkMan Slams Wizkid For Using Fela’s Name Amid Seun Kuti Feud, Criticizes Nigeria For Disrespecting Music Legends

VeryDarkMan has sharply criticized Wizkid for involving Fela Kuti in his feud with Seun Kuti, insisting the singer should have addressed Seun directly instead of dragging the Afrobeat legend’s name into the conflict. “Nigeria is the only country without music legends. While other countries idolize theirs, in Nigeria, they call it ‘past glory.’ I even expected Wizkid to call out Seun Kuti directly, without mentioning his father, Fela,” he said. He also questioned the significance of Wizkid’s Grammy win, arguing that it does not reflect true mastery of music. “Because of Wizkid, people disrespect Fela. Let’s talk about Grammy. This 2026, Fela will receive a lifetime achievement award at the Grammys after being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2025. Did Wizkid ever get a lifetime achievement award? Never. Which song? Which piece of music? Music is an art involving instruments and drumming. Wizkid can’t even play an instrument. He can’t even match Made Kuti. It’s because people don’t respect their legends that Wizkid uses Fela’s name.” VeryDarkMan went on to describe Wizkid’s Grammy as a “compensation award,” saying, “Take a good look at Wizkid’s Grammy — Best Music Video. This is not a real Grammy. Cry all you want, it is what it is. Now let’s talk about Nigerians who actually have Grammys. Burna Boy won Best Global Music Album twice, solo. Tems won Best African Music Performance and also collaborated with Future and Drake. Yet people disrespect Fela, claiming he was irresponsible. None of us match that level of artistry.” He concluded that the feud exposes a bigger issue in Nigeria: the country’s failure to honor and protect the legacy of its music legends, leaving contemporary stars to exploit iconic names instead of truly respecting them. “Nigeria is the only country in the word that don’t have music legends like other countries do they label them ‘past glory.’ I thought WizKid would call out Seun Kuti directly, without mentioning Fela,” ~ VeryDarkMan say pic.twitter.com/kD9SPHCMfH — ORITOKE MEDIA (@oritokemedia_1) January 22, 2026

Rivers Chief Judge Declines To Probe Governor Fubara, Citing Court Order

Rivers State Chief Judge, Justice Simeon Amadi, has declined to form a judicial panel to investigate Governor Siminalayi Fubara, pointing to an existing High Court order that bars such action. The Rivers State House of Assembly had requested the chief judge to establish a seven-member panel to probe Governor Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Odu, over allegations of gross misconduct. A source close to the matter revealed on Wednesday that Justice Amadi cannot act on the request because he is bound by a subsisting court order from a High Court in Port Harcourt. “The state High Court has issued an order in which the name of the Chief Judge was mentioned. He cannot disobey the law; he must do exactly what the court says,” the source said. The source further noted that while the Assembly faction led by Speaker Martins Amaewhule could appeal the ruling, the current order remains in force. “There is a possibility that the Amaewhule group may go on appeal, but the fact remains that the Chief Judge has been ordered by the High Court not to do anything contrary. If there was no court order, I can tell you sincerely that the Chief Judge would have no option but to set up the investigative panel,” the source added.

Trump Launches Board of Peace at Davos

Former President Donald Trump returned to Davos on Thursday to officially launch his Gaza Board of Peace, alongside the board’s newly announced members, most of whom come from the Middle East and South America. Trump described the board as “one of the most consequential bodies ever created” and said he was honored to serve as its chairman. Notably absent from the stage were leaders from Western Europe. The U.K. had expressed concerns over Russian President Vladimir Putin’s potential involvement, and while Putin received an invitation, he is reportedly still considering participation. Earlier this week, Trump drew attention by suggesting the board “might” replace the United Nations, though he later clarified that it would work alongside the UN. He said: “We’ll work with many others, including the U.N.” The UN had adopted the U.S.-sponsored resolution establishing the board in November. On Gaza, Trump said the Israel-Hamas war is “really coming to an end” but warned Hamas to disarm, describing its members as “people born with rifles in their hands.” He added: “They have to give up their weapons, and if they don’t do that, it’s going to be the end of them,” and called for the release of the final deceased Israeli hostage, Ran Gvili. Trump also highlighted Gaza’s strategic location, saying: “People that are living so poorly are going to be so well, but it all began with the location.” The Board of Peace follows last week’s launch of Phase Two of the Gaza ceasefire plan by Trump’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, focusing on “demilitarization, technocratic governance, and reconstruction.” Phase One faced challenges due to Hamas not handing over the final deceased hostage and Israeli airstrikes in October. The board will oversee the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG), led by Ali Shaath, a former deputy minister in the Palestinian Authority, which will manage day-to-day reconstruction efforts. During his speech, Trump also highlighted his international achievements, praising the “unrivalled skill set of the U.S. Military,” referencing last year’s strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, and lauding his recent Venezuela operation that resulted in the capture of former President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. Regarding the board members, Trump called them “great people, great leaders,” saying the organization is already “running beautifully.” Board of Peace Members: Argentina: President Javier Milei Armenia: Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan Azerbaijan: President Ilham Aliyev Bahrain: Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa Bulgaria: Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov (caretaker) Hungary: Prime Minister Viktor Orban Indonesia: President Prabowo Subianto Jordan: Deputy Prime Minister Ayman Safadi Kazakhstan: President Kassym‑Jomart Tokayev Kosovo: President Vjosa Osmani Mongolia: Prime Minister Gombojavyn Zandanshatar Morocco: Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita Pakistan: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Paraguay: President Santiago Pena Qatar: Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani Saudi Arabia: Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al‑Saud Turkey: Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan United Arab Emirates: Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority Khaldoon Al Mubarak Uzbekistan: President Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev The board is tasked with overseeing Gaza’s reconstruction while coordinating with international partners to ensure the territory’s stability and development.

No Shame in Hustle: Cubana Chief Priest Defends Peller Despite Being Snubbed By IShowSpeed
