Oyo Teacher Killed by Students After Confronting Them Over Gambling

A horrifying incident unfolded at Soun High School in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, where a teacher, Mr. Fatai Adegoke, was reportedly attacked and killed by his students while trying to stop them from gambling during school hours. According to eyewitnesses, the confrontation began when Mr. Adegoke caught a group of students gambling inside a classroom. The situation quickly escalated as the students allegedly turned violent, assaulting the teacher and causing severe injuries, including broken limbs. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but sadly died from his injuries. A statement from a group of concerned educators described Mr. Adegoke as “a dedicated and disciplined professional whose life was cut short in the line of duty.” “This tragic and avoidable death is not only an assault on Mr. Adegoke but also an attack on the entire teaching profession,” the statement read. The educators urged the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), and law enforcement authorities to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice. They also called on the parents of the students involved to take responsibility for failing to instill discipline in their children. Highlighting the incident as a reflection of growing moral decay in schools and homes, the group stressed the urgent need for stricter disciplinary policies, moral education, and stronger safety measures for teachers across public schools. Attempts to get official confirmation from the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.

Peller Says Some Celebrities Ask Him For Money During Fan Giveaways

Nigerian entertainer and magician Peller has revealed that some celebrities quietly reach out to him for financial help, even during his giveaways for fans. Speaking in a recent live session, Peller stressed that having a large social media following doesn’t always mean a celebrity is financially stable. Many assume online popularity equals wealth, but that’s not always true, he said. “The way God has blessed me is amazing, but not everyone posting online or with thousands of followers has money in the bank or food to eat,” he explained. Peller added that he has received messages from celebrities asking to benefit from his giveaways, which are primarily meant for fans. “It’s shocking. I’m giving to fans, and yet some celebrities still ask for money. Are you serious?” he said. He noted that although he saw these requests, he intentionally did not reply, leaving the messages unanswered. Ned Nwoko Sparks Reactions After Saying Every Man Should Have More Than One Wife

Ned Nwoko Accuses ‘Pull-Down Syndicate’ Of Using Regina Daniels To Tarnish His Image

Senator Ned Nwoko has accused what he described as a “pull-down-Ned syndicate” of exploiting his marital issues with actress Regina Daniels to smear his reputation and damage his public image. In a statement released by his Communication and Technical Action Team in Abuja, the Delta North senator claimed that a group of individuals who had long targeted him were now using Regina’s situation to launch coordinated attacks against him. “These individuals are trying to criminalize me before the international community. It’s a coordinated gang-up,” the statement read. Nwoko dismissed recent allegations linking him to land grabbing in his hometown, saying the land in question was lawfully allocated for his University of Sports project. “Anyone who seeks progress in this country is often attacked by their own people,” he said. He also accused certain individuals of manipulating Regina, whom he described as “a young woman who is unwell and has admitted to drug use.” According to him, these people were taking advantage of her vulnerability to settle old scores. “If she had any credible allegations against me, she would have said them by now,” Nwoko stated. “Those spreading lies will eventually face justice for criminal defamation.” The senator further alleged that Regina had a history of substance abuse, backed by medical evidence and testimonies from her former schoolmates. “She openly admitted to using drugs and being on bipolar medication. Yet, people continue to twist this to destroy me,” he added. Nwoko also addressed controversies surrounding Regina’s age at the time of their marriage. “She was born on October 10, 2000. If we’ve been married for six years, then she was 19, not 17,” he clarified. He maintained that his marriage to Regina was honorable, traditional, and public. “Our marriage has always been transparent. I gave her my name and treated her with love and dignity. Anyone close to me can testify to that,” he said. Calling the situation a politically motivated witch-hunt, Nwoko claimed his enemies were using Regina as a weak point to attack him and distract from his achievements. “This is nothing but a desperate attempt to stop my developmental projects and destroy my reputation now that I am a senator,” he concluded.

Bishop David Abioye Says Wife Tested Negative After HIV Scare Through Divine Healing

Bishop David Abioye, founder of Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly, has shared how his wife, Mary Abioye, was once wrongly diagnosed with HIV during the COVID-19 pandemic and later confirmed negative following his declaration of faith in divine healing. The cleric recounted the incident during a recent sermon, explaining how his unwavering faith in God transformed a frightening medical report into a testimony. “During COVID, they said my wife had HIV. I said, ‘No, not in this body.’ I told them, ‘Do the check-up.’ They checked and couldn’t find anything there,” Bishop Abioye told his congregation. He stressed that true healing requires boldness, not negotiation. “Healing is not for gentlemen. You don’t negotiate sickness to go; you crush it to go. Some people are negotiating with bandits, and that’s why their problems persist,” he added. Bishop Abioye, who retired from Living Faith Church (Winners’ Chapel) in 2024, now leads Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly, where he continues to preach faith, healing, and victory in Christ.
